Get Well
Recipe:
Paper: PTI white, SU So Saffron
Ink: Chalk Box Yellow Cadnium, Burnt Sienna, Chestnut Brown, Creamy Brown
Stamps:ISC Flair of Summer I for the Sunflower and Get Well
Accessories: Nesties Classic Scallop Circles LG, off white sheer ribbon, handmade stick pin with glass beads, Threading water border punch from Fiskars, dimensinals
To get this effect on the Sunflower I used the Yellow Cadnium chalk ink first than I added a little of the Burnt Sienna but that was way to red (ish) so I added some Chestnut Roan and it was just right. The second layer of the Nesties is PTI white cs but I added lots of the Yellow Cadnium Chalk and Creamy brown! What do you think?
That is all for right now. I have tons of laundry today. Since my hubby retired from the military and is no longer wearing a uniform we go through tons of loads a week, but I am not complaning, it's not going to change anything, I am just being a good wife and wash his clothes, LOL!!!
Thanks friend for stopping by today. For all of you that live in that Blizzard path, I'll send you some sunshine. We are supposed to hit 89 today, only like 2 degrees less than the record high from 1910. Woohoo!!!
Hugs,

Great job coloring. I wish Jami could come and teach me too. I really like all the layering behind the flowers.
This is gorgeous. I love the sunflower. I have not tried these inks before. I am in the blizzard path. No school for 2 days and lots of shoveling. Brrrrrr
Wow Sabrina! This is just gorgeous!!! I love sunflowers and I think you have nailed this one!!! I love that second layer of nesties... can't believe you inked that and got such a rich tone! I'd say you are doing just fine with coloring!!! Now while you're at almost a record high...we're have a cold snap... going to be like 15 tonigh... and with all that snow melting tomorrow should be a travel nightmare! So enjoy a couple extra sun rays for me, ok? Love your work!!!
