Good morning on this.....

beautiful Friday. We have not had any rain in over a week now and let me tell you, my poor little flowers are not liking it too much. According to weather forecast we are supposed to get some of that monsoon rain this weekend, so we'll see. Since today is Friday it means that there is another Stamp Simply challenge over at Sharon Johnson's blog. Let me tell you, this lady comes up with some amazing challenges. This week she is asking to incorporate lace, hence the name of this challenge# 98 is "Lovely Lace". For more details head on over to Sharon's blog. As you all know I love me some lace and it does not matter at all if it is white, pink or brown, lace just gives a card that special something ;P. So, for this challenge I have this little card I put together with some lace I found at WalMart of all places and it was on clearance, so all I paid was 50 cents for a spool of lace. Don't you just love a bargain? Anyhow, my card base is made of PTI's Vintage Cream cs, and some of the delicious K&Company paper Blue Awning. Since the Blue Awning paper has this Vintage feel to it I had to make yet another Vintage card, but you all know that I love me some Vintage, right? :D:D:D So, here is what I cam up with, it's a pretty quick card, but it sure does not look like it, LOL!!

For my Friend....

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, SU Not Quite Navy, SU Kraft, K&Company Blue Awning

Stamps: SU Elegant Cheer

Ink: Chalk Box Blue Iris, Staz-On white

Accessories: Cuttlebug embossing folder Textile, Nesties Labels 4, SU Hodgepodge Hardware Styled Vanilla, All Natural Accents mini cream roses, white crochet lace, white narrow satin ribbon, white sheer ribbon, Foam Tape, double sided tape, Vintage angel button

Sorry about the shadow in the picture. I took the picture outside and as I clicked the wind blew one of the branches of the tree in my front yard right over. Sorry!!!

What do you think, does this qualify for this challenge? I sure had fun making this card. Thanks so much for stopping by today and I wish all of you a happy and relaxing weekend.

Goodness, where has time gone???

Hello my friends, I know it has been a while since I last posted, but it seems like something comes up all the time and there are just not enough hours in a day to do it all. I have quite a few things for you all today :D:D:D. Yep, a few things ;D.

The first one I would like to share with you is a card that I made with some yummy crocheted lace I bought a while back over at Stampers Dream. I believe it is May Arts and it comes in like 3 different colors. The one used here is like a chocolate brown. I also used my all time favorite stamps set Baroque Motifs. I know it has been around for a while but i just love the flourish and it goes well with some of the cards I make ;D. The card was actually made with a person in mind at my church, she is still going through and having a really ruff time, so I decided to make a card that would remind her that she is not alone even if it feels that way at times. For those that come on regular basis you have noticed that I have been making a lot of 5.5"x5.5" cards lately. There is no particular reason, it is just that I can add more embellishments and don't have to cut up some of the gorgeous DP's I have. Most of them are 6"x6" and I hate to have lots and lots of scraps laying around ;P;P. Are you ready for it?

I can do all things........

Recipe:
Paper: SU Confetti White, SU Close To Cocoa,
SU Chocolate Chip, K&Company Ancestry
Stamps: Verve I can do all things.... Philippians 4:13
SU Baroque Motifs Ink: Chalk Box Creamy Brown, Chestnut Roan
Accessories: brown crocheted lace, Nesties Labels 1, dimensionals, Kaiser brown half pearls, brown satin ribbon, handmade stick pin with shades of brown glass beads, Brown Prima's Daisy Dream Collection

That is it, the first of my creations.

For the second one I just had to do a little something different. Well, it has a Vintage feel to it, but I made a different fold for a change. I believe I saw it on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog the other day, they were to use their favorite embossing folder and make a gate-fold card. I did not use an embossing folder, but I did do the gate-fold card.

Since I have a Scor-Pal it was easy as pie since Diana Crick already thought about the gate-fold and added the right marks if you make a card to be an A2 size card. I think the reason why I don't do this fold that often is because I don't like it too much when the card just opens up when you don't want it to open up. Does that make sense? You know when you get a gate-fold card and it comes open on its own? So, I started thinking what I could do for my card to stay put. To make a long story short, I turned to my Cricut Expression and cut a few flourishes out. While I was doing that I thought, hmmmm, wouldn't that that Octagon shape from Spellbinders look good on that yummy paper that is in the Lilikate pad from Basic Grey? You know how that goes, right? You think of something and it just explodes in your head but in a good way:D:D.

Have a look and see for yourself what I am talking about. It just all came together in a romantic, playful way. And you know what I just realized? I used the same scripture twice, but this one is from the SU set Elegant Inspirations.

Recipe:
Paper: PTI white, Basic Grey Lilikate

Stamp: SU Elegant Inspirations

Ink: Palette Ink Toile Pink, Tim Holtz Distress ink Tattered Rose,
Antique Linen

Accessories: Nesties Large Octagons, Prima Hydrangeas from Beach Sand Collection, Martha Stewart 3 butterflies punch, pink flat crystals, half pearls from Kaiser, cream satin ribbon, cream decorative trim, sheer off white ribbon, dimensionals, foam tape, double sided tape

The flourish that is on the right side of the octagon is actually holding the card closed.

All right, last but not least is a little box that I made with instructions from the Scor-Pal website. The instructions are really easy and it took only a few seconds to actually score my cut pieces.

Here is my

A little Something for you.........

box

Recipe:
Paper: K&Company Amy Butler DP, Bazzill textured cs

Stamp: SU Yummy stamp set

Ink: SU Mellow Moss, VersaMagic Sage Chalk Ink

Accessories: crystal drops, Dew Drops from the Sunflower Mix, small silver half pearls, Prima Hydrangeas, beige trim from my stash, 1 3/8" EK Success circle punch, Martha Stewart 3 butterflies punch, decorative scissors, dimensionals, double sided tape, Tombo glue

This little box is 4"x4" and 1.5" heigh or deep. It would be perfect for small cards but I am actually using it for a little gift I am going to give to my neighbor ;P. The second picture I took of the box is taken inside that is why it looks a little different but I assure you it is the same box, just couldn't get a good picture taken outside of the side view.

Wow, I am done!!!! See I have not been just sitting around not doing anything, just wish I could stay up past 9 PM I would be all right. I am not kidding you, come 9 PM I am fighting to keep my eyes open. Yep, 5:30 AM comes quick but I am actually awake an hour earlier than that when my hubby has to get up as he hits that snooze button several times ;P.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'd love to hear what you think about my humble creations.

Good afternoon......

on this very hot day in Arizona! I finally have the card I have been telling you all about for days now, sorry, but my DD misplaced the cable to my camera, but it is all good, I found it ;D.

Yesterday was the first day of school and let me just say, I am one happy mom:D:D:D.

I tell you, you gotta love the year round school system that my DD is in. They started back yesterday, I don't like getting up at 5:30 am, but I sure like that I have somewhat of peace in the house. It is crazy, when my two girls are apart from each other they ask for each other and as soon as they get together they start fighting. And let me tell ya, it is not the big one messing with the little one, it is the other way around.

Anyhow, here is the card and it is a very, very simple one.

Thank You....

Recipe:

Paper: PTI white and True Black

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black

Stamps: SU Embrace Life, Warmest Regards

Accessories: crystal half pearls, Kaiser half pearls in black, silver spacer beads, Nesties ovals and scalloped ovals, dimensionals, foam tape, glue dots

Like I've said, very simple but I like to have a few of those laying around so I am ready when I need one in the spare of the moment.

So, since I had a few minutes this morning after doing my chores, yes, you all know about those, making beds, washing clothes, cleaning the bathrooms. I pulled out one of those cool flourish thingies I bought from "Twopeasinabucket". They are half pearls shaped into a flourish. The name on them says opaline flourish and they are from Basic Grey. For this card I went a little more Vintage, just had to do it with that thingy :D. For my base I pulled out my last piece of Vintage Cream cs from PTI (I love that stuff!!!!) it is so very versatile and goes with lots of those Vintage papers I have from K&Company. So this card has some of that K&Company paper. I also incorporated some of these adorable little roses from Prima's Fairy Tales Collection from Michael's and to top it all off I also added a Vintage heart button and some of the absolutely gorgeous and oh so very soft silk ribbon from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. If you have not tried this silk ribbon, let me tell you, you gotta get some, it is so soft and so very pretty. I have not felt anything like it before.

Wait for the LORD..........

Recipe:
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, K&Company Classic K and Designer Pad from K&Company Classic K for the moss kind of textured cs mat.
Stamps: Unity Psalm 27:14 Wait for the LORD
Ink: Chalk Box Spanish Olive
Accessories: Basic Grey opaline flourish in pearl, vintage heart button, Prima Fairy Tales Collection mini roses in off white, sage silk ribbon from Sharon Johnson's Stamp Simply Ribbon Store, double sided tape, foam tape, dimensionals

Wheew, I really needed this today :D:D:D
Made me feel good to get my stamp space messed up ;D and my fingers inky :D:D:D.

That is all I have for you all today.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

And we have a winner.......

for the Blog Hop Birthday Celebration. Thank you so very much to all of you wonderful people who have stopped by my Blog during ISC's Blog Hop. To make it easier I used Random.org and the winner is comment # 14 who happens to be Linda Lucas from Canberra Australia also known as LovelyLinda. Congratulations, Linda!!! I am sorry, but I don't have a card for you today. Actually I made one last night but I did not have a chance to take a picture yet. Had to help my neighbor with her daughters birthday party and take 6 of the 13 kids on a scavenger hunt around the neighborhood. One hour of getting in and out of the car, but we had soooooooo much fun. Those girls were worn out. It was I believe 108 today.

So hopefully I'll be able to take a picture tomorrow and I'll share with you all then.

Isn't this the coolest?

All right, I am calming down a bit here and have another little something for you.

Look and see what my now 8 y.o. daughter Naomi made yesterday. She made Birthday cards for her little friends from church, they are twins and are coming over for the day tomorrow. She is all worried that the twins will not like her cards. I'd be ever so grateful if you could leave a comment for her to boost her ego a bit. She is so very sensitive, but I am sure that some of you Mom's out there with girls that age can relate in some way or another :D:D.

Since both cards are the same we only posted one as the other is identical :D.

Well, off to get some more chores done.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I will see you all later.

Hugs,

Woohoo, it is Friday......

and guess what? I have another little sneak peek for you all from the ISC new stamp release that will take place on Monday the 13th!!!!! I tell ya, this month you will be speechless in every sense of the word. I have decided that today I will show you one of the cards that I made with a sheet which is called "Australian Daisy" and there are so very many ways to add color to this wonderful stamp.

Australian Daisy "Special Friend"

Recipe:
Paper: PTI white, moss colored cs from my stash
Stamp: ISC Australian Daisy and Flourishing Ivy
Ink: SU Mellow Moss, Ranger Distress Ink in Mahogany
Markers in yellow and orange for the flower center
Accessories: Dew Drop from the Hyacinth Mix, dimensionals, Heidi Swapp butterfly ghost shape which I colored with Alcohol Inks in Currant, purple and pearl

The flowers were stamped on white PTI cs which I then cut out 6 ti mes and layered them using dimensionals . To make the BG a little more interesting I first stamped a flourishing ivy stamp (which will also be available on Monday at ISC ;D)on white cs in SU Mellow Moss.
The oval is not done with a punch it is an oval stamp that is included in the Australian Daisy stamp sheet as well as the sentiment. I simply stamped it on white cs in SU Mellow Moss cut it out and distressed it using the Tim Holtz distressing tool and some Ranger distress ink Mahogany .
So, what you all think? Did I get you interested in this set? Well, remember that we are having a fun Blog Hop starting on Monday and we will have more info for you then, but there is a chance that you could win this set, so make sure you come back over the weekend and for sure on Monday for a chance to win this or any of the other fabulous stamps that are available at ISC.

I've gotta run for today, got a house full of girls tomorrow, but it should be fun as they get to hang out and create and just have fun.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today, make sure you also check out the other gals creations, you can easily reach them by clicking on the links on my sidebar.

Happy Thursday.....

friends!!!! I am so very sorry for not posting in over one week, but the funny weather that we have been having here in AZ is not helping those migraine headache attacks I get. Sorry about that and please keep me in your prayers. Thanks!!!!

All right, that was the personal stuff, on to some fun news. Today I am happy to show you a sneak peek of one of the super cool new stamp sheets that Innovative Stamp Creations (ISC)
is going to release on Monday. Since it is the middle of summer Betsy, the owner of ISC has chosen a real fun and absolutely calming beach scene. It is called "Picturesque" and is absolutely gorgeous. I had a little of a hard time with it at first as I STILL don't have any decent markers but I made it work (at least I think so, so if you have a chance let me know what you think, all right?). We were given some DP by Little Yellow Bicycle and had to work with it so I've tried to incorporate as much of it as possible so why don't you see for yourself

Enjoy the stillness......

Recipe:

Paper: Base SU Buckaroo Blue all other papers used are Designer Paper by Little Yellow Bicycle LYP)

Stamp: ISC Picturesque (available on Monday!!!!))

Ink: Memento Cocoa for the sentiment, water based markers in shades of blue, green, yellow and brown for the coloring in of the stamp.

Accessories: LYP Buckle which I changed from yellow to the orange by using Tim Holtz Alcohol inks in orange and caramel, white mini brads, tiny blue buttons and flower shapes ghost shape by Heidi Swapp. (the flower shape ghost shape looked like a starfish of sort so I changed the color to more of a orange/brown, dimensionals, glue dots, Sakura glaze pen for giving the waves a little more real feel (sorry but the glaze pen does not photograph very well).

Did I get you interested in this wonderful set? Well, you just have to wait until Monday to buy it or better yet, in honor of Innovative Stamp Creations 6th Birthday we are having something fun planned for you, check this out

So, starting on Monday the 13th until Wednesday the 15th you have the chance on winning 2 FREE, yep, you've heard right. That is 2 free stamp sheet by ISC. Come on back on Monday to find out more and what you'll have to do to win.

That is it for the sneak peeking today. Make sure you'll go on and check out the other ISC Creative Architects, which are listed on my sidebar. It will blow off your socks!!! Let me tell you those girls have rocked this one.

Thanks so very much for stopping by, I have noticed that a few of you are giving up on me, which is sad to see for me, but I will keep on posting.

Hugs,
