Happy Saturday!

Hello there stamping friends on this fabulous Saturday! I have a pretty streamline card to share with you all today! I was going for  masculine card, but it turned into a little more feminine card after I was done, LOL! A while back I was going through a phase to crochet, you know one of those things that you had not done in a while and once you start you just can't stop? Well, I made some flowers and thought, if I simply added some more rows to them they would make cute doilies that I could use on my cards. To make a long story short, I have used one of those doilies and added a Jute Twine loop flower and a button and voila, my very different flower embellishment was done. Since I still had my August stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs on my table I made into another bookmark card. Have a look and see for yourself

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Rustic Cream, True Black, Recollections Kraft, BoBunny Time Piece

Stamps: ODBD Prayer Bookmarks

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black

Accessories: Jute Twine, Jute ribbon, seam binding (hand dyed) hand crocheted doily, black grosgrain ribbon, ZVA Creative black rhinestone flourish, cross charm, Prima wood button, Spellbinders for ODBD Bookmark dies, corner rounder

Size: 4 1/4" x 6 1/2"

I really like how this came out. What do you think?

Well, this is it for me. Gotta run to the corner store and pick up a news paper. My oldest  told me during breakfast that she has a current event due on Monday.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a blessed weekend!

Hugs,

Well, hello there!

Hello and good Wednesday morning my blogging friends! It has been a while, but I have a fun little post to share with you all today.  I have been able to craft for a few minutes here in there with lots of breaks due to my shoulder/arm still giving me lots of pain, but I managed to finish this very simple project. I've used all Our Daily Bread Designs stamps and with these fabulous bookmark stamps from this month' release it was easy as can be.

Paper:  PTI White, Recollections Kraft, Kraft paper sacks (bought at Michael's, they are the smaller ones 3 1/2" x 6 3/4" and can be found in their gift wrapping section) BoBunny Country Garden Collection

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, VersaFine Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Ditressing Ink Tea Dye

Accessories:  Spellbinders for Our Daily Bread Designs Bookmark Dies, Spellbinders Labels 18, seam binding, Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish, Prima flowers, felt bird, Binder ring

See, very simple! I had this idea in my head as my girls both read a lot and always loose their bookmarks. My little one brings home school library books every week and they always have those library cards in the back of them, so I thought if I create a pocket/bag for the bookmark and tuck the bookmark in it, chances are they will not as easily get lost. Well, I won't be able to temporarily attach these right here to the library books, but all of those books we buy from Scholastic, I can easily add some removable double sided tape to the back of the pocket and adhere it to inside cover of the books my  "TT" is reading or I just leave them bound together with the ring and put them in a little basket next to her reading chair, that way everything can be at her little fingers touch.

Well, this is it for me for today! Thanks so much for stopping by. I know I have been a bad blogging friend, but this injury does not allow me to type for long periods of time. I can still only do 10 minutes here and there. This post took forever to type ;D.  So, please, accept my apology, just as soon as I can handle it I will be back.

Hugs and blessings,

ODBD August Release!!

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs August Release Blog Hop! I’m so excited about this month’s release!  This month it is all about "bookmarks". Yes, bookmarks and there are so many possibilities, you can make a ton of them and still have a different image, scripture or quote on each and every one of them!  Oh, I LOVE bookmarks!! :D:D:D

If you got here from Becca's amazing Blog,  you are in the right place. If not, you should start at the ODBD Blog  so you don’t miss anyone, and don’t miss a chance to win!

If any of the links are broken along the way, you can always pop back to that post for the complete list of links.

Now, here are the details of the Hop:

The Hop will run from 8:00 a.m. on 1. August, until 8 p.m. on 2. August!! Winners will be announced Aug 3 . There will be SIX prizes of your choice of one set!!!

All you have to do is  hop to each link and leave a comment, then return to the ODBD Blog to tell us you completed the hop and answer the question there . Check back at the ODBD Blog on Aug. 3 to see if YOU are one of the winners. that is it!

No here is what I came up with. I have to say, I had a little of a hard time as my shoulder/arm is still hurting a lot and sitting still for too long hurts as does lifting my arm, so be gentle on me, alright? :D

Praying for You

I have tried to match the scripture on the back of the bookmark to the words on the front and I think that those scripture from the Scripture Bookmarks work perfectly. What do you think?
