Well, this is it for me for today.

Today is a special day as I get to hear my  husband preach!  Our Pastor allows the Elders every other Sunday to preach, so he can get a rest. What a blessing it is to have a Pastor like that, plus I enjoy it when my husband brings the message...he studies so hard for it and is up most of the night to get his time with God and get ready to bring the word to us.
May all of you have a blessed Sunday!!

Thanks so much for stopping by.....it truly means a lot to me!

Rise and shine......

Rise and Shine my sweet stamping friends!  It is Sunday and time for a new Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge. This weeks host is none other than Miesje.

Miesje has chosen the following scripture for us

Luke 18:17 "Amen I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it."

My thoughts on this wonderful scripture are going way back when I've got saved. I remember I was so hungry for everything that had to do with the bible and wanting to know it all!!!  I was studying hard and made lots of notes. See, me being German and English not being my first language it was hard for me to understand the King James Version of the bible. My then friend and now husband bought me a compatible bible, you know one of those GIANT bibles that has 4 different versions of the bible in one book.  Yes, I did have a German bible, but I was attending a Baptist church back then on a Military Base and I wanted to understand what they were teaching. One of the sisters and the pastor back then told me in the New Comers class I was only a babe in Christ and I needed to learn like a child. To make a long story short, I chose to study the New American Standard version back then and everything looked much easier. As I used to say: "the King James Version used mostly $25 words and I needed to feed on the 25 cents ones first". In other words I started with milk or formula if you will and made my way up to the more solid food just like children do. I am now after all of these words still sometimes have to go back to a version that breaks things down a little more, but that is all right, I am able to break things down and help other new believers out a lot more, since I've been there and done that ;D.

We can't expect to be fully equipped when we first get saved, you have to learn to walk the walk. A walk that I am proud of walking and I hope that when that day comes that I will be one of those that will have their name written in the big book and GOD will  welcome me with open arms. I am not saying I am perfect yet, but I am striving to get there.

Well, by doing all of this talking today, I totally forgot to tell you what the challenge is:

                                                       Make a card/project for a child.

And here is what I came up with

Sweet One.......
