Joy in a Jar

Happy Saturday to you my stamping friends! Hope you all are having a great weekend so far. My weekend has been amazing so far. Today my husband and I are celebrating our Anniversary....yay! My two girls made us breakfast, made a huge word banner, well, more of a layout on the floor, as it was so big, that spelled Happy Anniversary. They even got us gifts......so sweet. My 8 y.o. drew a picture of mommy and daddy holding hands on a walk and put it in a frame.....love it! {sniff sniff, tearing up here}  Anyhow, life is good and I thank God for it.

But, you did not come here to here about my life, so let me share this card with you that I have made using the absolutely amazing stamps and dies from the January release over at Our Daily Bread Designs. You know being a Christian and knowing how God always has our back, it brings great joy to my heart. People will let you down, that is just our nature, but God, he is always right there, and that brings great joy to me. So for my card I have chosen the Joy in a Jar stamp set in combination with the Apothecary Bottles stamp and die set and this is what came out

Happy New Year and welcome to the ODBD January Release

Happy New Year to all of my wonderful stamping friends all around the world....may God bless you all richly! I welcome you all to Our Daily Bread Designs January Release. This month the possibilities are endless with these wonderful stamps and the coordinating dies. For my first card I've used the "Joy in a Jar", "Apothecary Bottles" and the coordinating Custom Apothecary Bottles dies and this is what I have come up with

Extract of Mercy

Recipe:

Paper: Vintage Cream, textured lilac card stock, Designer Paper K&Company

Stamps: ODBD Joy in a Jar, Apothecary Bottles

Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

This is my first card, what do you think? For my second project I chose to make a tag, I LOVE tags ;D

I started out with a recycled cracker box and cut the base layers with the Spellbinders Grand Labels 4 die, cut regular card stock in purple with that same die to cover the raw cardboard. The front side I embossed with the Juliet Damask embossing folder by Cuttlebug, cut two tags, one out  of the Designer Paper and a smaller one out of card stock with the Spellbinders Golden Labels 4 dies and stamped one of the "Lavender"  stamps on it. To embellish my tag I have used eyelet lace, Venise lace, flowers, pearls, a cameo and some more ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage die cuts, seam binding and purple lace and viola my tag was done. Check it out
