Happy Monday......

my friends. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I have been taking it easy and really have not done much. Last week, whenever I was able to squeeze in a few minutes, while my little one watched a movie or was watching her favorite show on TV , I was able to create a little at the time and so I will show you a few things throughout the week that I have been working on.

But today I will show you a card that I just made a few minutes ago ;D. The other day I received some of Basic Grey's yummy Christmas paper Wassail (I know it is last years paper ;D) and I knew I wanted to use it on this card. As you already know I don't like to waste much of the 6x6 paper pads, so this card is 5.5x5.5 to take advantage of most of my DP :D! I also used a long, long retired stamp set from SU called Mother & Child I bought from someone last year and had it just sitting in my cabinet...until today ;D! My card is pretty simple but speaks louder than words..I think! Have look and see for yourself

For unto us....

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, SU Chocolate Chip, Basic Grey Wassail

Stamps: SU Mother & Child, CDS Christmas Scripture # 5922

Ink: Chalk Box Chestnut Roan, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye

Accessories: Nesties Labels 1, Recollections half pearls, Foam Tape

So, what you all think? Don't you think that these two stamp sets go well together? When I decided to use this scripture stamp I just had to go with the Mother and child.

I have another creation to post today, but this one is non Christmas. One of my neighbors had a Birthday over the weekend and I found out last minute....so I whipped up a little something.

The little bag is a 2-5-7-10 bag (tutorial is on SCS in the resource section) which is big enough for a handful of Lindt Truffles I had to hide them as they disappear really quick in my house, hehe!!! To make the set complete I made a little card for it as well. Check it out

Recipe:
Paper: PTI white, K&Company Amy Butler pad

Stamps: ODBD Thinking of You, SU Oval All

Ink: SU Certainly Celery, Chalk Box Chestnut Roan

Accessories: Nesties scalloped ovals large, Recollections half pearls, white satin ribbon, Scor-Pal, EK Success med. corner rounder

All right, this is it for now. I will share a few more projects throughout the week. Thanks so much for stopping by today and a BIG Thank You to all of you that sent me well wishes. It really meant a lot to me. You guys are just the BEST!!!

Hugs,

Oh where oh where has......

Sabrina been? Well, to share a little with you what has been happening....first about two weeks ago I had these terrible migraine headaches I told you all about and then my entire family got bitten by whatever is going around (NOT that bad, bad flu bug thank GOD) but whatever it was/is, it still has my little one down and she is pretty cranky to say the least :D. Anyhow I am trying to catch up with getting back into things. Friday night I made some yummy, really yummy Zucchini Bread and almost cut my finger off, yep, my Mom sent me a brand new grater, one of those fancy ones and I was going a bit too fast and cut part of my thumb off (well, a little ;D) and it is not letting me function like I would like to. I tell you, it is pretty amazing how much you need your thumb. I am without bandages and such since this morning but it hurts like crazy. I made 2 cards earlier, some quick ones, which seems to be the only kind I have been making lately, LOL. The first one is a card I made for the Divine Design Bible Verde Challenge over at SCS. It has been great fun to create a card or other project throughout the year, only one more month left but those cards have been coming in handy when you need a quick card to encourage someone with scripture. If you would like to find out more about this fantastic challenge click here to find out more. I sure hope these ladies will continue this challenge next year.

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Kraft, Moss recycled card stock, CraftySecrets Earth pad

Stamps: ODBD Scripture Collection 1 ( Lamentations 3:21-23)

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Chalk Box Prussian Blues, Chalk Box Toffee

Accessories: Nesties Labels1, Recollections golden half pearls, Prima Fairy Tale Collection mini roses, Cricut Expression flourish heart from the Accent Essentials cartridge, Tim Holtz Distressing Tool, Foam Tape

I was having some trouble taking this photo...for some reason the colors are not true. The green is much more muted IRL and the DP is very soft as well.

Here is another shot, this time from the inside of the card

For my second card I have for you all today, I used one of my brand new embossing folders I received last week from HSN. I have no idea what the name of the folder is though. That is the thing when you order specials like that, they don't come in the wrapper that tell you what it is :C.

Anyhow, the folder is gorgeous. The card is very non-traditional as far as the colors go. I was surfing the blogging world a while back and saw this color combo and loved it. I am sorry, but I can't remember who's blog I visited :C.

So here is my chocolate white Christmas card

Recipe:
Paper: PTI white, SUY Chocolate Chip

Stamps: Inkadinkado Reindeer, ISC Festive Season

Ink: SU Close to Cocoa

Accessories: Nesties scalloped ovals large, Cuttlebug embossing folder Christmas 2009-2010 from HSN, pearl Dew Drops, foam tape, 3D foam dots

So, what do you think?

I think that I will be making a few of these as they will not require extra postage ;D.

Well, this is it for me for right now. Thank you so very much for stopping by. I truly enjoy reading your comments.

Hi there.....

on this beautiful and sunny day here in Southern Arizona!!! Oh my goodness, I tell ya, last week we had some weird weather. It was freezing cold..literally!!! We went from being in the 80's down to into the 30's and low 50's. Can you say shock!?!?! Well, it was way to cold for the girl to go into her stamp room and stamp as it is right above the garage and freezing cold. My hubby would not allow me to turn the heat on (stinker ;P). Anyhow, I am really glad we are back to warmer temps.

Yesterday I had a major migraine again and was really not doing much. After I had taken some meds I checked my e-mails and blogger updates and I saw that the Stampin' Sisters in Christ had challenge # 11 up so I've decided to go and check it out. This week they are using Deuteronomy 31:8 as their inspiration. To find out more head on over to their site SSCC#11 and get the details. Since I did not want to take a chance yesterday, for those that deal with migraines, y'all know how it is, right? I took some time this morning and made a card for this challenge. I knew I did not have the inspiration scripture, but I have a real appropriate stamp from Verve, Hebrews 11:1 which reads: "Faith is the Substance of things hoped for, the Evidence of things NOT SEEN!!! " So guess what, yep, I used it. The challenge also speaks of creating something when GOD is unseen, so I was sold on this stamp. What could have been better? On this card I made I used some paper from a pad I ordered a while back and it is from Crafty Secrets. This was my first time using their papers and I must say that I am really happy with this pad which is called EARTH. I also got to use my new Nesties Labels 8, yeah, I know I am a bit late, but I had to wait a while to get them ;D.

All right, here it is

Faith........

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Rustic Cream, SU Chocolate Chip, DP from the Earth Collection of Crafty Secrets

Stamp: Verve Hebrews 11:1

Ink: SU Close to Cocoa, Chalk Box Creamy Brown, Toffee

Accessories: Nesties Labels 8, Satin ribbon, Prima Fairy Tale Collection mini roses in a peach color (DP has some of that color in it ;D), Recollections half pearls, foam tape, glue dots

So, what do you think? I really like the way this card came out. I just hope that it will do the job and encourage someone.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. If you have a minute I'd like to know what you think.

Last week I was a little down as several people have unsubscribed from my Blog. One person actually put as a reason "too many updates" another "content not relevant anymore" and that kind of got to me. I have no idea why it got to me the way it did, but I was really hurt. I thank each and every one of you that do take the time to leave me some love as it truly does make my day!!! Sorry, but I had to share this. It was really eaten me up and maybe I should make a card for myself to cheer me up ;D.

Thanks for letting me vent.

Hugs,
