Let's look back at the ODBD March Release!

Hello there stamping friends. Today we are taking a look back at the Our Daily Bread Designs March release. If you have not seen these wonderful and fun stamps, you sure are missing out! Also check out this fun new paper line called Blooming Garden Collection by ODBD.....awesome! Here is a card I have made using the sweet daisy paper which is part of this collection and the "Sweeter Than Honey", "Honeycomb mini", "Zinnia" and the coordinating die (bee used on my card) called "Zinnia and Leaves die" check it out

Sweeter Than Honey

Recipe:

Paper: White, Harvest Gold, DP ODBD Blooming Garden Collection

Stamps: ODBD Sweeter Than Honey, Honeycomb mini, Zinnia (for the bee)

Inks: Memento Rich Cocoa, Sunflower, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Copics

Accessories: Spellbinders Labels 18, 30, ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves dies, cotton crochet lace in white, Venise lace in golden yellow, Glossy Accents, seam binding, Frosted Lace Stickles,

Size: 5.25" x 5.25"

The honey jar and the honey dowel (is that even the name for it ?) I fussy cut. To give the jar more dimension I added Glossy Accents to make it look more like a real jar and for the honey that is sort of dripping and puddling up there I added Glossy Accents as well and once it dried just a little I used a tooth pick and sort of pulled the Glossy Accents from the puddle up to the honey dowel, you can see it really well, if you click on the above photo to enlarge it.

Well, this is my little card for today's post. To see the amazing creations the other Breadsticks have come up with check out the below links

Let's celebrate ODBD's 6th Anniversary!!

Hello and welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs 6th Anniversary! WOW, what an accomplishment! Congratulations to Kelley, Rick and the rest of the crew that make up this fantastic and absolutely amazing company! I am especially thankful because I have had the joy of spreading God's word through ODBD for the past 4 years and I am very grateful to Kelley, for allowing me to be part of it! I get all excited every months about the new stamps that are released, but when it comes time for the Anniversary every year, I get extra excited and part of it is, that most of the stamps are scripture stamps, sentiments that are very meaningful and quotes that make you step back for a minute and think! In other words I am over the moon and can't stop creating, to share some inspiring and encouraging cards with friends and family. I truly encourage YOU all to grab a cup of coffee/tea or whatever it is that to like to drink and sit back and hop along with us as we share some of the brand new Anniversary Sets with you all. I promise you, you will be blown away just as much as we are.

Alright, before I get all emotional let me share the two projects I have created for this special release.
My first project is a card, and even though I have used some gorgeous paper and some sweet flowers, I wanted to keep the focus on this wonderful quote, that I have picked from Jim Elliott. Have a look at

God always gives......

Recipe:

Paper: Vintage Cream, Sweet Blush, Kraft, White, DP Prima Delight

Stamps: ODBD Quote Collection 4

Inks: VersaFine Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Victorian Velvet

Accessories: ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders, Elegant Ovals, Spellbinders Decorative Labels 1, Labels 16, Fleur De Lis Accents, Mulberry rose spray, pearl spray, tulle and pearl pick, Mulberry leaves

Size: 5.25" x 5.25"

That is my first project and not to hold you up too long, here is my second project, which is a tag/wall hanging and I've used the same quote as it is the one that I submitted. So with no further ado, here is my tag

His Best

Recipe:

Paper: canvas covered chipboard, Vintage Cream, DP Prima Princess

Stamps: ODBD Quote Collection 4

Inks: VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Angel Pink

Accessories: Spellbinders Decorative Labels 1, Gold Labels 4, ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage, Venise lace in white, butterfly applique, Mulberry roses and leaves, tulle picks, homemade shimmer spray, seam binding, Deco Art Snow Tex

What do you think? If you click on the picture you can see the softness the SnowTex adds. The shimmer is kind of hard to photograph, but IRL it is so shimmery and looks really sweet.

Well, these are my two projects, I hope I was able to inspire you with this fabulous quote. To see some of the amazing creations my Design Sisters have come up just click on the links below

Friends are flowers......

Good morning sweet friends! On today I am coming to you with a simple little card that I have made using one one of the March releases from Our Daily Bread Designs. I don't know about you, but I love flowers, but here in Southern Arizona, I am having a hard time keeping them alive and not much of the flowers I remember we had in our back yard back in Germany, don't survive here. So, when Kelley came out with these wonderful flower stamps a little of those memories came back and this Zinnia stamp set is one. I used the stamp, the coordinating die, and the Custom Paper Collection called "Blooming Garden Collection" to put this card together. Have a look at

Friends Are Flowers

Recipe:

Paper: Lemon Burst, New Leaf, SU Dusty Durango, ODBD Blooming Garden Collection

Stamps: ODBD Zinnia

Inks: Memento Rich Coca, VersaFine Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tea Dye, Copics

Accessories: ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves die, Antique Labels and Border, Fancy Foliage

Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

What do you think? Isn't it just fabulous how you can mimic the paper by using the Zinnia and Leaves die and the Fancy Foliage die (from a past release)? I just love it! :D

Well, this is it for me for today, my girls are out of school for two weeks for Spring Break. I will be back tomorrow,  buzzing by to share another card with you all, but for now I say good bye, thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
