Welcome to our first ODBD Shining the Light challenge.......

for the month of March, yeah!!!! The Challenge Team is challenging to do a sketch challenge!!!! Chris, our wonderful Team Coordinator has come up with this awesome sketch and I am sure you will love it as much as we do ;D. Check it out







Is this a fun sketch or what? Well, as you know from the previous challenges we will make this weeks challenge a little more fun as we give out a prize, a $ 15.00 gift certificate to the Our Daily Bread Design store but in order to be win you must submit your creation by Thursday March 11, 2010 on the ODBD Blog .One random winner will be chosen and announced on next Saturday. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps on your creation, we would love to see them if you have them ;D!!!




As a way of recognizing those who do use ODBD stamps, we will again be choosing 1 or 2 creations to be spotlighted for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award you MUST use ODBD stamps and you must add a link to your creation on the ODBD Blog by Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 8 PM to Mr. Linky!!!!

Now, are you ready for my very humble creation this week? Here in Southern AZ we have had the mist wonderful weather, which is supposed to be changing over the weekend :C, but for those that still have that nasty cold and snow weather my card will remind you a little of what is to come SPRING!!!!!! I am using on of the new releases for this month and it is called "Happy Easter" . You might want to pull out your sunglasses as this card is a bit on the bright side :D:D:D. Very Spring like!!!

Paper:PTI White, K&Company Life's Tapestry, textured yellow cs name N/A (came from my stash and was not in a wrapper anymore :C) SU Certainly Celery

Stamps: ODBD Happy Easter

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU mellow Moss, Chalk Box Yellow Cadmium, Blush Rose

Accessories: Corner Rounder, Nesties Scalloped Circle Large, antique cotton lace (from my Mom back in Germany, love you Mama) yellow satin ribbon also from Germany, Kaiser half pearls in Champagne, Flourish cut with my Crisut Expression and the Accent Essentials cartridge, Cuttlebug embossing folder Floral Screen

What do you think? Pretty bright and let me tell ya, it was so much fun doing this sketch...I truly don't do sketches often enough, but I have a feeling this is going to change,hehe!!

Hey Sweetie!! Love your gorgeous Spring card...I am loving the warmer weather too! Now it just needs to get warm earlier in the day so I can ride my motorcycle to work! :) Hope the girls are feeling well and you guys have a fun spring break! The boys are thrilled to be off...I still have to go to work though. {big hugs!!}

The flower is colored so nicely, Sabrina! The swirls you've used for the corners are brilliant. Great Easter card, here in MI Easter is usually cold and yucky, but this card is so encouraging.

I do not think that your card is too bright. It's lovely Sabrina. It reminds me of the yellow and greens of spring.I love the lace that you used at the bottom of your card. You always pay such close atention to details on your cards and that is just one of the many reason why I love your cards so much. :)

Sabrina, I don't think this is too bright at all. It's time for lighter colors after all the cold and dreary weather. Your lily is beautifully colored and I love this sketch. Great card, friend.
