Monday!!! Yeah, my oldest is back in school andI have some quiet time in the morning now!! She actually was all excited to go back to school and did not fuss when she had to get up at 6 AM :D.
So, since I hurried and did all of my morning chores early today I was able to sneak in some play time after I read my Blogger updates and e-mails. I have never participated in the CCEE challenge, but my German bud Silke is the person of honor today, so I've decided I go ahead and try out this challenge. Tosh was in charge today and she asked to make a square card, being true to Silke's style and leave a lot of white space and use the faux silk technique. Oh, the challenge also said to use a girl on the card, but somehow I've missed that, so I guess I didn't totally obey the rules :C.
If you care to find out more about this challenge head on over to CCEE.
I have to tell you, I had never ever tried this technique and was kind of intimidated at first, but I guess it turned out all right.
Have a look at my
"Thank you for being my friend" card
Recipe:
Paper: PTI White
Stamps: SU Embrace Life, ODBD Friendship
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, pink chalk ink
Accessories: Nesties Megabilities curved rectangles, Cuttlebug embossing folder leafy branch, Scor-Pal, Recollections silver half pearls, Twinkling H2O's in pink crocus, Tissue Paper, Tombow glue, pink velvet ribbon, pink crystals
What do think? I hope they overlook the fact that I forgot the girl, but at least I used pink, so it is a girly card, right? :D:D I used those Twinkling H2O's to add the sparkle for the "sparklegirl" my camera just did not pick it up. IRL the card, well the flowers do SPARKLE :D:D
Well, this is it for me for now, I have to go over my DD's homework and figure out what I'll cook for dinner.
Thanks so much for stopping by, I love reading the comments you guys leave me. They sure keep me going.
Have a wonderful evening.

pretty card
Great job! Those were a lot of rules to follow and remember!!! :} I was on Cammies blog (she did the same challenge) and her square card is a rectangle and she forgot the faux silk, so your not alone. I really like how your card turned out. The pink flowers are yummy!
Lovely card, girl or not, Sabrina. Love the pink..I'm working on a pink set for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Haven't tried the faux silk tech yet, but yours is so lovely makes me want to give a go. Thanks for your sweet words of encouragement...p.s. I haven't forgotten your flowers..just have to dig out of this hill I've buried myself under! :-)
