Hi all...

and welcome to day 3 of ISC's Christmas Card Extravaganza /Blog Hop. Over the past few days the other Architects and I have shown you the possibilities that the newly released stamp sheets can bring. Today I have a few cards for you. Yep, I saved the BEST for last ;D. The first card I am showing today is a cards made in some rather unusual Christmas colors, but who says Christmas has to be all traditional? See when we received our packages and had to cut the stamps out, I was not sure what I was going to do. But after some brain storming it came to me (it's almost like the light bulb came on ;D) I was doing something eclectic with the eclectic set :D:D. So, since I love all shades of brown I went with it. For my base I used PTI Kraft layered with some PTI Dark Chocolate. After that I took a piece of Kraft cs and ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Divine Swirls folder and ran over it with a sponge and Chalk Box Chestnut Roan ink. For the Christmas tree I ran the Nesties Megabilities curved rectangles through the bug with some Kraft cs and stamped the tree on it in Memento Rich Cocoa. The BG was stamped on yet another Nesties cut piece of cs in Dark Chocolate and the script was stamped on it in VersaMagic Wheat. For the sentiment I cut a a strip of Kraft cs sponged the edges with Chestnut Roan and Roch Cocoa and put a antique square copper brad through and adhered it to the card and voila my eclectic Christmas card was done. Have a look....

Eclectic Christmas

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Kraft, Dark Chocolate

What you think?

As promised I have another card for you all. Remember the pear card from the sneak peek on Friday? Well, I just had to make another card with this fun set. With this one I went a total different route and out came this fun little card.

Happy Thanksgiving......

Recipe:

Paper: PTI White, Bazzill textured olive cs, Basic Grey Offbeat

Stamps: Fruitful ISC

Inks: SU Certainly Celery, Mellow Moss, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Fired Brick, Watercolor Pencils

Accessories: green satin ribbon, Cricut Expression Home Accents cartridge for the label tag, foam tape, blender pen

See a totally simple card, but it looks so fun. As I was going through my paper stash I noticed that this Basic Grey Offbeat pad had some paper in it that was just perfect as it has pears and apples on it ;D and the colors, well, that is how the colors where chosen, LOL!!!

Good Tuesday morning.......

and welcome to day 2 of ISC's Christmas Card Extravaganza/Blog Hop. Today I will show you another Christmas card I made with one of the gorgeous new sets that were released yesterday and it is called "Festive Season". When I think festive, well the good old silver/white color combo comes to mind. So, I've got out some gorgeous silver paper I've got last year at Target of all places (love that place ;D) but since it is a little on the flimsy side I matted it on some True Black cs from PTI in combination with a white PTI cs base. But before I matted the silver paper I ran it through my Bug, my Cuttlebug that is, and used one of my new folders "Victoria" I've ordered back in August I believe and it finally arrived the end of September. Anyhow, I loved how crisp it came out and immediately I thought, hmmm lets combine it with the flourish of the Festive Season set. I tell ya, sometimes things work themselves out ;D. Since I had planned to use the gorgeous ornament included in this set to begin with it kind of was nice to give my card that little extra umph..... I stamped the flourish on a True Black cut Labels 4 piece in white. I planned on using a silver ink pad, but it was all tried out :C. For my ornament I stamped it on white PTI cs in VersaMark and embossed it with Filigree silver embossing powder and it looked just wonderful. As you can see the ornament has these flourishes on it so my mind went into overdrive and I remembered that I bought some cool glitter a long time ago (and never used it) and it would give those flourishes some more interest. So I added some Quicky Glue pen and applied the glitter. Have a look and see for yourself

Elegant Merry Christmas

It is time!!!!!!!!

Hello my friends, today is the day, it's release day over at ISC!!!!! Remember when I told you guys on Friday that we are having something special planned for today? Well, not in those exact words, but we are having a PARTY!!!!!! Today is the day that ISC is having it's FIRST, yes, FIRST ever Christmas Card Extravaganza/Blog Hop!!!! And we are celebrating for 3 DAYS. We were challenged by Betsy the owner of ISC to each choose one image from the Joyful Christmas stamp sheet and create a card making it the focal point. I don't know why, but for some reason I am not good at making Christmas cards, hmm I guess I am not feeling it yet ;D, but let me tell you. When I cut my images I had tons of ideas in my head and since the typical Christmas images where already taken, I've picked the flourish. So, let me show you my humble creation

It's a Joyful Christmas

Recipe:

Paper: PTI White, DP was provided by Betsy(sorry not sure of the name :C)

Stamps: ISC Joyful Christmas

Inks: SU Mellow Moss, Ranger Distress Ink Fired Brick

Accessories: Nesties Megabilities curved rectangles, Kaiser half pearls in red, snowflake button (I believe it is from WalMart), red sheer ribbon, foam tape, 3 D foam dots, Maya Road Vintage headpin

For my focal image I've decided to sponge around the flourish, so I left my Nesties die on the card stock and simply added the Fired Brick Distress Ink with a sponge so that the edges would still be white and draw more attention to the focal image. It's a pretty simple card, but that is what we are looking for for Christmas as most of us have to make tons of cards, right? ;D

This is it for my card, but wait, I have more for you!!!!! Guess what, since this is our FIRST ever Christmas Card Extravaganza you can WIN, 3 FREE of the "Newest" Christmas Stamp Sheets (Joyful Christmas, Eclectic Christmas, Festive Christmas)!!!!!! How cool is this??????? We are keeping it super easy for you too, all you have to do is head on over to the ISC Blog and leave a comment on what Christmas means to you & your family!!!! Super EASY, but you have to hurry up as this opportunity will end on WEDNESDAY October 14th!!!!!

Since this is a Blog Hop please don't just head on over to leave your comment, go on and see what the next ISC Architect in this HOP has created and which image she chose. It's Julie

Wait, don't hit that button yet, there is one more little tiny detail I have to share with you all ;D
