ODBDSLC80...........Holiday with a twist

Hello and happy Saturday stamping friends. WOW, this week went by way to fast, but I am glad it is Saturday because that means it is time for a new Shining the Light Challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs. This weeks challenge is

Holiday with a twist (Christmas or Thanksgiving). The twist being you must use an ODBD stamp.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, October 21 at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on or will they qualify for prizes.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Friday, October 21 at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC80. When creating your posts on blogs please include a direct link to the challenge.

So, for my project, I made a card using the new Holiday Ornaments which coordinate with the newly released Holiday Tags Spellbinders and fit perfectly on cards or Scrapbook layouts or any other creative project for that matter. If you purchase them together until the end of the month you will save a couple of $ ;D;D.

Merry Christmas

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Rustic Cream, Basic Grey Jovial, Papyrus like paper from my stash for the ornaments

Stamps: ODBD Holiday Ornaments

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, VersaMark and golden embossing powder, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Vintage Photo

So, what do you think? I was trying to make the ornaments match this fabulous Jovial paper as much as possible. What do you think, did I achieve it?

Oh Sabrina! This is so beautiful. . .love how the ornaments just seem to pop right out of the designer paper! Love this card, it is so warm and homey and that pop of green in the bows just adds so much texture and richness! Lovely!

Well, I think you did a bang up job of making them look like part of the paper popped up - what an amazing illusion you have created here, sweet Friend! That lace and the crinkled seam binding give your card such an old fashioned flavor - takes me back to my childhood days at my grandparents - this is just beautiful!!
Oooooh, aaaah! Love it! Hugs!
