Hello and welcome back!!

Hello and happy Saturday stamping friends!!  We are back with a new Shining the Light Challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs! As you all know we took a break last week because of the October release but we are back and in full swing for ODBDSLC79 and it could not be more fun!!!

This weeks challenge: Make your own Embellishment (dye your own seam binding, make your own flowers, make your own buttons or stickpins and etc.) on your creation.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Friday, October 14 at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on or will they qualify for prizes.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Friday, October 14 at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC79. When creating your posts on blogs please include a direct link to the challenge.

All right, now that we have gotten the formalities out of the way I will show you what I came up with!! For my card I went the Christmas route, I don't know about you, but I am always late getting started on my Christmas cards, so I thought I'd better get in gear and start this week. ;D;D

For my card I've used all but one newly released set from Our Daily Bread Designs, just went for it! :D:D

To keep with the requirements of the challenge I created the stickpin and dyed the seam binding. For the seam binding I used Hug Snug chalk white seam binding and spritzed it with Maya Mist in I believe Avocado (sorry, but the sticker with the color came off, so I am not 100% sure).

Have a look and see

Peaceful Christmas......

To see who won the last challenge and what else is going on over at Our Daily Bread Desings make sure you'll check out the ODBD Blog. Remember, you have a chance on winning a gift certificate in every challenge that is running over at ODBD, so make sure you'll check them all out. We love seeing your wonderful creations!

Well, this is it for me for today!  Since the temperatures went way down, I think I'll hit the yard for a while and get rid of some of the weeds that have been growing like nothing I've ever seen while the monsoon was going on. I'd rather be stamping, but we've gotta do what we've gotta do, right?

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I love reading your comments and hope that you've enjoyed your visit!

Hugs and blessings,

Sabrina
