Hello on this beautiful....

Friday my stamping friends!!! It is 8:30am here in AZ and I have to get a rush on this post as my oldest only has half day of school today. Can you all believe that school is just about over? Only 2 1/2 weeks left for us, but the good thing is that my kids, yes, I've said kids, my little one will be going to Kindergarten, YEAH :D. Even though it is only half day (they've cut all day Kindergarten here in AZ and let me tell ya, how can kids learn something in 3 hours if they have 2 recesses? Anyhow...we are in a 'Year round' school district and my kiddos will go back on 19. July......I love it!!!

So since I've got that out of my system ;D I have 2 cards to share with you all today!!! A very Vintage card...you all know I love Vintage ;D...and one that I made using some of my Copics. I can't color to save my life, but I gave those Copics another try and I must say it was fun, hehe.

Let me show you first the Vintage one

God did not give us........

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, Basic Grey Nook & Pantry
yellow textured cs from my stash (has a feel of handmade paper)

Stamps: ODBD Scripture Collection 2

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Chalk Box Toffee, Bisque, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tea Dye

Accessories: Nesties Petite Scalloped Ovals Large and Petite Ovals Large, Cricut Expression and the Accent Essentials cartridge for the flower and leaves. Dew Drops in Buttercup, cream lace (I believe I bought it at WalMart), paper crimper, foam tape

I have a close up of the flower so you can see how much dimension those flowers have ;D. They are pretty addicting and I have to make some more as I almost used all of them up that I made a couple of weeks ago.

Here you go the close up

What do you think? Aren't those flowers just awesome? Love it!!

All right, on to the second card I have for you. This one is the one I colored with my Copics. I don't have very many (yet ;D) and so shading was a challenge. I will also submit this card for the Bible Verse Thursday Challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts Magazine where Angie Crockett challenge to make a Graduation card. I thought since Psalm 139:10 says "Your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me" it is pretty fitting. We want those young people to know that GOD will guide them, right? This is my CPCMBVT53 submission card.

Your hand will guide me......

Recipe:
Paper: PTI White, Crafty Secrets Earthy pad, textured cs from my stash in an aqua kind color

Stamps: ODBD God's Hands

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Palette Ballet Blue, Copics E21,E33,E35,C1, BG10 and O

Accessories: Nesties Large deckled rectangles, Cross Die, white metal dots

A pretty simple card with not lots of embellishments, but I wanted to stay focused on this awesome image and scripture.

What do you think? As mentioned I made this card for the CPCMBVT53 and if you care to find out more about this ever so awesome challenge head on over here .

Well, this is it for me for right now. Remember tomorrow I will have a brand new post for ODBD's Shining the Light Challenge. Since we took a little break last week, due to the May release we are back and oh my goodness, will you love what the bread sticks of the Challenge Team have been coming up with ;D. So, make sure you come back to visit tomorrow.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by to see me today.

Have a wonderful and creative day!

Hugs and blessings,

Hi Sabrina~

Wow! Fabulous cards. I love the Vintage card. That flower is phenomenal. I never thought of using my Cricut to make the flowers in slightly smaller and smaller sizes to put together. Can you please let me know what adhesive you used on the lace? (I am at SCS.) It almost looks like it is linked to the right hand side of the card! Beautiful card.

And, you CAN color very nicely! You know what they say, just keep doing ituntil you are happy with it. One woman told me to stamp several of the same items, and color them in different ways, until you decide which one has the look that you like. (OR you may like parts of one and parts of another...put them all together and WOW!! I used it to see what medium I wanted to use. I usually end up with water color pencils!

And, one thing about Kindergarten. I know, not from being a professional state teacher, but from teaching and running a Pre-K program, and an afternoon program for K's. I want you to know that socialization is so very important! Sharing, talking, working together are all things that children can learn on the playground. And, now more than ever the "students" sit at their desk, doing their "work" a lot of their school day. They need to let all of those ants out of their pants!! lol I hope this helps you out some. If you are truly worried, be a "Classroom Mother." Then you see everything "hands on."

I love your blog! I love your art! Your flowers! Your strength in knowing the Lord! And, in sharing a bit about what is going on in your life. What I wrote, I wrote in love. I hope that is how it is received.

He IS Able,
Traci S.

The first card is so beautiful in all ways. The "hand" stamp on the second one is such a special image and so is the sentiment.
