Let's smell those roses

Hello and happy Friday stamping friends. I am coming to you today with a sweet card I have made using this absolutely gorgeous stamp set called "Roses" by North Coast Creations, the sister company of Our Daily Bread Designs. I tell you, when I first saw this stamp set I was speechless on how realistic the roses look. Have a look and see for yourself

Recipe:

Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaFine Onyx Black

Accessories: Spellbinders Gold Labels 4, seam binding, white Venise lace, ZVA Creative rhinestone flourish, heart charm, Prima black half pearls

Welcome to Our Daily Bread Designs May Release Hop

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs May Release Blog Hop!  If you got here from Lori's amazing Blog you are in the right place!  If not, you might want to start at the ODBD Blog so you don't miss anything!  Here are the basic details of the hop:

So, since we've gotten the details out of the way I would like to share with you what I came up with.

I have decided to go masculine this time around. I had bought some of those unfinished wood frames you can get just about everywhere, I bought mine at Michael's for $1 ;D 

I started out painting the entire frame with white Gesso, after that was dry I used my Lindy's Stamp Gang Star burst in Baby Blue Eyes Aqua (that one came with a dauber, so application was easy) let that dry and then I stamped the brand new Fishing Net Background in Memento Rich Cocoa and that was it as far as stamping was concerned on the frame. For the frame opening I cut a piece of card stock and adhered a piece of DP from the old Basic Grey Oxford paper pad   on it and stamped the Fishing Boat from "The Waves on the Sea" in Steel Blue directly onto the DP, then the scripture Psalm 77:19 from the "Fishing" set and the insert was done. 

Now came the fun part I added some Jute Twine and threaded some nautical charm and voila, my frame was done.

Morning Glory

Hello and happy Saturday blogging friends! I hope that each and every one of you has a wonderful weekend. I was playing around with a 5"x 5" canvas the other day that I treated with Gesso (it had a frog on it, you know one of those small canvases for children that has an image already on it) and added some texture paste around the edges. I had never done that before and was quite happy how it turned out. After cutting a few Spellbinders shapes and stamping this gorgeous Morning Glory stamp by Our Daily Bread Designs, I just added a few ZVA Creative pearls and a handmade tulle flower with crocheted doily and bling center and a sweet little braided trim that I've had forever in my stash, this sweet canvas was done. Hello there and happy Tuesday. Goodness, it has been a crazy weekend and bumpy start into the new week. Both of my girls got sick......not so much and yesterday we had some appointments and my little one needs to have her tonsils taken out. She is not happy about that. Anyhow, I have a sweet little wall hanging to share with you today. Have you seen those canvas covered chipboard albums that are available from several companies? Well, I found some locally and used one of the pages as my base for this beauty that I am about to share with you. I have also used the brand new Quatrefoil Pattern die that Our Daily Bread Designs just released, Romantic Floral Designs and one of the Quotes from the 5th Anniversary stamp sets. Have a look
