This challenge is unique from the others since we are asking you to use at least one Our Daily Bread Designs stamp on your creation!! As we do every week, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by October 21 at 8 p.m. EST.If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC33. All right, since we have managed to get all of the important stuff out of the way I will now reveal what I came up with for this weeks challenge

There is no safer place.......

Recipe:

Paper: PTI True Balck, Stamping Up Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey Olivia

Stamps: ODBD God's Hands

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tattered Rose, VersaColor Orchid

Accessories: Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 14, black shimmery lace, hand dyed seam binding, leaves which were cut with my Cricut Expression and the Accent Essentials Cartridge, paper roses, handmade paper flower, blue rhinestone bling from my stash (i have leftover from Okinawa,Japan ;D), Maya Road Crystal Trinket Pin which I colored blue to match my blue rhinestones, various glass beads in pink and green to match the Designer Paper, foam tape

So, what do you think? I have used this stamp set a lot, but mostly for more masculine cards, so picking the Basic Grey Olivia pad  took me in a more feminine direction ;D.

I know one card is probably enough for some people to get inspired, but I have to tell you, head on over to

I am so happy.......

that it is Saturday and that Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge is back from taking a little break last week because of the new release of the ODBD October stamp line!!! I can honestly say that I look forward to every challenge as I can't wait to see what you might come up with. :D  So, let me ask you this question....what do you think of when you think Fall? For me, I would have to say looking forward to cooler temperatures, living in Southern Arizona, it is still pretty hot around here, today it was in the lower 90's right here where I am. One other favorite of mine would be seeing the colors of the leaves on trees change and falling leaves, but that is from back home in Germany, as we don't have very many trees with leaves that change at this time of year here in AZ, not down here anyhow. Can you guess what this weeks challenge might be yet?  Yes, LEAVES, you have guessed right. This week the Challenge Team is challenging you to use leaves on your creation, that can be your Designer Paper, a charm or any other embellishment, your stamped image, you name it it all counts, but one thing that does not count is gold leafing, unless you put it on your leaves ;D.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, October 14. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by October 14 at 8 p.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC32. When creating your posts on blogs please include a direct link to the challenge.

Now, have a look and see what I came up with

Leaves, leaves everywhere

Recipe:

Paper:  PTI White, Stampin Up Certainly Celery, Kaisercraft Utopia

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Shabby Shutters

Accessories: Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 6, Recollections Rhinestone Flourish, May Arts Leaf ribbon, ZVA Creative white roses, silver cross charm, green hand dyed seam binding (which I arranged to look like leaves under the rose on the left), white crochet lace ribbon

So, what do you think? Was I able to inspire you to join us this week to add leaves to your creation and share it with us?  Maybe you need a little more inspiration, so why don't you head on over to my Challenge Team sisters and check out what they have come up with.

Happy Birthday..........

to Kelley,Owner of Our Daily Bread Designs!!!  Today is Kelley's birthday and we, the Breadsticks, are celebrating big times with a Blog Hop just for her and you off course, because you all are invited to hop along to revisit some of the older ODBD stamp sets ;D

We, the breadsticks  have all created a card using older Our Daily Bread designs sets and are showing them to Kelley and you, and then we are sending them to Kelley to use for her boards in the ODBD booth. As most of you know, Kelley attends a lot of craft shows and the sample cards are taking a  toll being under the lights and packed and unpacked week after week ,  it's good to update from time to time and what better way to do that by showering Kelley with new cards!!!

Happy Birthday, Kelley!!!

Now, are you ready to see which set I've used?  It is called Joy to the World.  I kept it fairly simple and just water colored the image in and layered it unto some amazing Basic Grey Jovial Christmas Designer Paper and added some super soft May Arts silk ribbon and a few green rhinestones ;D. I hope you like this card, Kelley!!

Hello there......

my stamping friends, did you all miss me? Sorry, it has been a little over a week that I have posted, but as mentioned last week, my girls are on their Fall break and I try to keep them busy, if you know what I mean. ;D

I have two cards to share with you all today, so I hope you can forgive me for not posting last week.

All right, lets start with the first one. A little while back I bought some more paper, yeah, I know, I have too much paper to begin with, but I just had to have it,hehe!! It is called Rhubarb Tart and is by Memory Box, it has been out for a while, I just never bought it...until now ;D. Have a look and see how I've used some of this yummy paper

on I go and prepare a place......

Recipe:
Paper: PTI White, Kraft, Memory Box Rhubarb Tart

Stamps: ODBD Scripture Collection 2  John 14:3

Accessories: Nesties Labels 17, caramel colored lace, hand dyed seam binding, handmade stick pin with antique brass spacer beads and glass beads, Recollections half pearls, Tim Holtz Distressing Tool, handmade lollipop flower

What do you think? This was my first attempt to make one of those lollipop flowers and I must say, you need the right tools, 'cause if you don't you get real frustrated real quick, LOL!!

For my second card I went to some more girlie colors and very Vintage. Again, I had to use some of this very addicting hand dyed seam binding which I weaved through my cotton lace and tied it into a bow. Now let's add some pretty roses and some other embellishments and viola you get this

The Lord your God is with you.....

Paper: PTI White, SU Certainly Celery, DCWV light blue textured card stock, K&Company Classic K Charlotte
