Hi all.....

today is the day!!! Release day over at ISC and oh my goodness does Betsy have some good stuff for ya! As you might have noticed the past two days I have used some DP that is called Scrapperdashery. This wonderful paper is part of a kit that Betsy has put together which includes all kinds of fun things. But let me tell you a little about the creation I have to share with you today. Well, I have a few things, first a wonderful little notepad that we were asked to come up with and for it I used the notepad which you will get for FREE if you purchase the kit ;P. Have a look this is the first one I came up with.

Things to do.......

Recipe:

Paper: SU Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Scrapperdashery(which is part of the KIT!!!)

Stamps: Make Note

Ink: Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tea Dye, Memento Rich Cocoa, Su Creamy Caramel, Chalk Box Creamy Brown

Accessories: Tim Holtz Distressing tool (love that little thing :D) 1 1/8" + 1 3/8 circle punch (the circle on the stamp sheet actually are only 1", but I did not have that punch ;D) and a small pen I bought at the $-Spot at Target which cam in a pack of 6. Heidi Swapp Journaling Spot and felt butterfly

Have I told you that this stamp sheet "Make Note" has a total of 41 stamps on it? Yep, that is a lot of stamps!!

I also have a card for you all and this card was done with the new stamp sheet "Odd Findings" really fun set as well. For this card I stamped some of the different stamps directly on the DP like the Fleur de Lis and the key to give the DP a little more detail. I also used some really cool little findings, like the frame, a tiny key and memory capsule. The only image that I colored on this card is that little butterfly inside the frame and capsule. I did that to make it stand out a little more.

Unlock ...special delivery.....

Recipe:

Paper: SU Confetti White, Scrapperdashery

Stamps: Odd Findings

Ink: Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Old paper for the script stamp I used on the DP, chalk box Creamy Brown for distressing and the Fleur de Lis, SU Close to Cocoa to stamp the key and Fleur de Lis on the background DP, Chalk Box Dark Brown was used to stamp the words "special delivery" on the tag

Accessories: Su oval punch, Nesties Megabilities curved rectangles, Ranger Memory capsule and frame, braiding cord, mini key from 7 Gypsies, Adirondack markers in Butterscotch and Terra Cotta to color in the butterfly, foam tape and dimensionals.

As you can see I had to go outside of my comfort zone for this one, but it was fun to be challenged and think outside the box for a change :D:D.

It's Wednesday and day 2 of the ISC sneak peeks...

today I have a sneak peek of a wonderful stamp sheet for ya. This Bush Flower looks a lot like our typical daisy, white with a yellow center and let me tell you it was really cool making this card. I started out with Kraft cs as suggested by Betsy the owner of ISC, and the rest was just a hmmmm, let me see if this works at first. I stamped the Bush flower on the Kraft cs in VersaFine Onyx Black and used the Adirondack marker in Meadow to color in the stem. After that I used the Marvy Opaque Stix white marker and the magic happened. At first I thought my Marvy marker was not working, as I colored nothing happened, but I was soon to be corrected as the white kind of showed up. I really thought I had a faulty pen, but I guess this is how it is supposed to work. After that I used yet another Adirondack marker in Butterscotch and colored the center of the flower and voila the Bush Flower was done. To make the Scrapperdashery DP I used as the BG a little more interesting I stamped the medium size Bush Flower on it in VersaMagic Miagara Mist (it is not really visible in the picture, but when you see the card IRL you'll see it ;P). Have a look and see for yourself

Bush Flower

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Kraft and white, Scrapperdashery DP

Stamp: Bush Flower(which will be available on Thursday 13.August 2009)

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMagic Niagara Mist, Chalk Box Creamy Brown

Accessories: Adirondack markers in Meadow and Butterscotch, Marvy Opaque Stix marker in white, Nesties Megabilities curved rectangles, Nesties labels 4, the sentiment "feel Better" was colored directly on the stamp and then stamped on white cs, sheer old olive ribbon from the Stamp Simply Ribbon store

Doesn't that image look cool? I truly like the way this Opaque Stix marker makes this flower look so real. Want to see the inside? Well, I could not just leave the inside naked, so I used the smallest of the flower stamps on stamped it on the inside

and to not just stamp on the Kraft cs I added the Scrapperdashery DP as well, and stamped the small flower directly on it and colored it in the same fashion as the image on the outside. The large curved rectangle was sponged on the edges with Chalk Box Creamy Brown to make it a little more blend with the distressed feel of the DP.

What do you think? Do you like this stamp set?
If you do, you'll have to wait just one more day, yep that is it. One more day and to make it more interesting to you we are giving you a special discount, but you'll have to come back tomorrow to find out the code for it :D:D:D:D. Sorry, I know I am a teaser, but I promise you, you will not be disappointed, so come on back for more. Betsy also put together a fun little Kit, but I can't show that to you as of yet either.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I will see you all tomorrow.

Hugs,

Are you ready for a sneak peek?

Good Tuesday morning my friends!!! Today is the first day of the sneak peeks we will be giving you for Thursday's release of the August stamp line over at Innovative Stamp Creations. So, for today's peek I have a card I made using the Ganzia/African Daisy. We were given some Adirondack markers to color this wonderful flower in a watercolor technique. I also used some really cool Making Memories paper which is called Ledger. It really looks like a sheet of paper from a notepad but thicker. To give it a little more interest I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the Textile embossing folder and then ran a Chalk Box ink spot over it in Bisque and Dark Brown. To make the Ganzia flower pop I cut a mat of SU Certainly Celery and 7 Gypsies Cream cs with my Nesties Labels 4 dies. To stay within the theme of distressing I also distressed the edges of those mats in Chalk Box Creamy Brown, Chestnut Roan. The main image, the Ganzia flower, was stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and as mentioned colored in a watercolor technique using Adirondack Markers in Butterscotch, Meadow, Terra Cotta and Currant. The sentiment, here "God Bless" was also stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa. To top it off I gave the Certainly Celery layer a little more interest by adding some mini 7 Gypsies brads.

So, with no further delay, here is my peek for today

Recipe:
Paper: SU Certainly Celery, Making Memories Ledger DP, 7 Gypsies cream colored cs

Stamps: Ganzia/African Daisy

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Chalk Box Creamy Brown, Dark Brown, Chestnut Roan, Bisque

Accessories: Cuttlebug embossing folder Textile, Nesties Labels 4, Adirondack Markers Butterscotch, Meadow, Terra Cotta, Currant, 7 Gypsies mini brads in dark brown

So, do you like what you see? Well, you will have to wait just a few more days and to make it more interesting you will be getting a special discount code to make it a little more affordable for you ;P.

This is it for today, but I will be back tomorrow with another peek.

Have a wonderful day, it sure looks like we are going to get some much needed rain today.

Hey there.....

it's a new week and lots of things happening. Well, let me show you a little something first and then I'll let you know what is happening :D:D:D. Last week, well, Friday, Sharon Johnson asked to make a card for the Stamp Simply challenge # 99 that had the word "Friend" on it somewhere. Because I have not been able to participate in a few weeks, I just had to get some of my new Basic Grey June Bug paper out and go to town. Sharon always asks to make "SIMPLE" cards and she does not have very many requirements, so her challenges are always fun. If you want to find out more about it head on over to Sharon's blog . If you did not know it already, Sharon has this super cool ribbon that she sells in her Stamp Simply Ribbon store. It is May Arts ribbon and let me tell you, you will fall in love with this stuff :D:D:D. The colors are awesome for all of them but I just love her silk ribbon!!!! It is soooooooooo soft and the bows look always great.

Anyhow back to my card. I am usually not a very bright color kind of gal, but when i received some more Basic Grey paper last week it had also the June Bug Pad in it and it is so fun. Needless to say I used some of it and you'll have to be sure to get your sun glasses 'cause this is a bright one,LOL!!!!

For my Friend.......

Recipe:
Paper: PTI White, SU new in color crushed curry, Basic Grey June Bug

Stamp: SU Elegant Cheer

Ink: Chalk Box Yellow Cadmium, Blush Rose

Accessories:
white grosgrain ribbon, Nesties Scalloped Circles, Prima Hydrangeas, Dew Drops from the Sunflower Mix, Foam Tape, double sided tape

Very simple card, but perfect for Sharon's challenge ;P.
This would absolutely be a card that you throw together last minute. I think it took maybe 15 min. if that.

All right now, on to the news. Make sure you guys come back tomorrow because I will be having a "Sneak Peek" for the August release over at Innovative Stamp Creations. It was so much fun this month. Some really cool images and boy oh boy will you be thrilled on with how many stamps you'll actually get with each sheet. For those that have not yet tried ISC stamps you just have to give them a try. So, make sure you'll come back tomorrow to get a look what Betsy has in store this month.

Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you all tomorrow.

Hello there my blogging friends....

on this absolutely gorgeous Friday here in oh so HOT Arizona. Let me tell you, yesterday my mail delivery lady made me happy, because she brought me some cool new stamps to play with. Yeah, I've got my Verve order in. As I've said many times before, I am crazy about scripture and inspirational stamps. Let me see, I did just say that yesterday, sorry, but I really am crazy about them. So, this morning after I was done doing my house duties, I went into my stamp room and just went for it. Can you believe that I made 3 cards in one hour? They just came together so quickly since I've had last night to think about it ;D.

The first card I'd like to share with you all is more Vintage than anything else, but I wanted to use some Kraft cs with some of a scrap of K&Company Ancestry paper I had laying on my table. Not a lot of embellishments, which was kind of a hard thing for me, because I LOVE embellishments, but I think it works and even can be mailed in a regular envelope and not a over sized bubble one :D:D.

Create in me.......

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Kraft, K&Company Ancestry

Stamps: Verve Notes of Prayer for the cross, Plain Jane stamp Psalm 51:10

Ink: SU Close to Cocoa, Chalk Box Creamy Brown for the sponging of the edges, Versa Craft Sand to stamp the cross on the DP

Accessories:
Nesties Labels 2, half pearls, crystals and some awesome cluny lace in ecru I found at Joann's yesterday for only 25 cents /yard.

I love this scripture and wanted to focus more on the scripture than on all of the embellishments so what do you think, does it pass?

All right, let me tell you a little about the second card. This card is a little more masculine. Last week Korin over at Sweet and Sassy stamps had a blow-out sale and I bought a few, yeah, like I don't have enough of the Basic Grey pads already :D:D:D, and one of them was the Boxer one. Every time I wanted to buy this pad before it was out of stock, so I was happy, really happy when I was able to get it and on SALE for that matter. At my shopping trip to Joanne's yesterday I was browsing around the store when I've noticed that they had changed a lot of things around and they actually had an entire section with tons of Scrapbook and Jewelry making supplies on CLEARANCE. So you already know that the girl had to stroll down those isles with my 4 y.o. in the shopping cart, when I saw these fun little Faith based charms and they were only 97 cents!!!! They had them in a silver finish and in aged copper (love the look of aged copper :D:D:D) so I had to grab a few of each. Oh, I forgot to tell you they had like 8 or 10 charms in a package, so that was really a great deal there.

To make a long story short I bought tons of stuff since they had their 66 years founders day sale going on, but please, please don't tell my husband, he thinks I am going overboard with this card making thing. Men, I tell ya, they have no idea. I always tell him it is much cheaper than Therapy,LOL!!!!!

What do you think about this little more masculine card?

I lift up my eyes......... Psalm 121:1-2

Recipe:

Paper: SU Chocolate Chip, Bazzill Vanilla textured, Basic Grey Archaic

Stamp: Verve Plain Jane Psalm 121:1-2

Ink: SU Close to Cocoa

Accessories: Nesties Labels 2, Expressions of Faith bible charm green grosgrain ribbon, narrow brown satin ribbon, tiny buttons from a grab-bag from Walmart, foam tape, double sided tape, dimensionals

Does this one pass as a masculine card? I am always having a little of a hard time with those, so I am happy when I get some DP pads that have both feminine and masculine papers in it.

I am not done yet, I have another one for ya!!!!!

Yep that makes three cards in one post. Yeah, I am finally catching for not posting in a while. :D:D:D.

As you can imagine since I had ordered a few stamps from Verve I had to use them, so one more for today, but there is always tomorrow, when I can show you the rest of them {rolls eyes}!!!!

I have admired this Meditations Set from Verve for a long time, but was not sure if I really needed it. Well, yes, I do NEED it, because this scripture "Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be ACCEPTABLE in your sight, o Lord, my strength and my redeemer" Psalm 19:14

I don't know about you, but there are times when I get really upset and sometimes I just say what is on my mind without thinking about it. Well, to say the least I have upset myself and hurt probably more people than I ever would want to admit, especially before I got saved, 16 years ago, but to this day I try to think before I speak (does not work all the time, but I am working on it) and not say anything that will offend or hurt anybody in any way. This scripture is the PERFECT reminder and I myself think I'll make a little tag or something to put in my car, purse, wallet, refrigerator or anywhere I might need it, so I can be a better person and remind myself. It is a work in progress and I personally don't think that this work is done in this lifetime, but I want to make sure that I get a spot up in heaven and that my name is written in that big book that assures just that. Sorry, did not mean to preach to you all ;D.

So here is my third and final card for now.

Let the words of my mouth.........

Recipe:
Paper: PTI white, True Black, Basic Grey Boxer

Stamp: Verve Meditations Psalm 19:14

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black

Accessories:
black textured ribbon, Nesties Large Labels, silver half pearls from Michael's, Foam Tape, double sided tape

If you can see it in the close-up I kind of curled the flower pedals a little and I think it makes them a little more alive.

How do you like this one? Was I able to give you guys some eye candy today or what? :D:D:D:D

Thank you all for taking the time to stop by today. I am not sure if I will be able to upload anything this weekend, so just in case I don't, I wish all of you a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

Hugs,

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Hello there......

did you all miss me? I have a few things I can't share with you all as of yet, but I also have a card I made to give you guys a little something to look at :D:D:D:D.

I am a very big sucker for scripture stamps and inspirational stamp and I have been looking at ODBD stamps for quite some time but never ordered. Don't ask me why, because I really don't have an answer. So, last week I took the plunge and ordered one and it is not even a scripture stamp, it is the Serenity prayer. I love the way there stamps come in a clear box and the way the stamp. I did not even have to condition the stamp I went straight to the paper.
have a look and see when ODBD stamp hits Parisian Breeze :D

Recipe:
Paper: PTI white, SU Parisian Breeze DP
Stamp: Our Daily Bread Designs "Serenity Prayer"
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Broken China
Accessories: Oval Nesties, scalloped oval Nesties, half pearls, white mini brads, bead end caps, Prima Fairy Tale Collection flowers in white and blue, small cross charm from WalMart, grosgrain ribbon, silver half pearls, dimensionals

What do you all think? I know the blue is not quite the same as the muted one in the DP but I think it works. I guess I was going a little overboard with applying it to the white cs :D:D.
Sorry for the quick post, but I'll have to get in gear to get all of my stuff done for next week ;P.
Thank you as always for taking the time to stop by and checking me out.
Big hugs,
