Happy Hump Day.....

my stamping friends! I have  a fun little tag to a share with you all today. I started out with a base of a 4"x6" piece of medium weight chipboard, covered it with Recollections Kraft card stock on both sides and to give the front a little more interest I've added some Designer Paper from the Glitz French Kiss pad that looks like burlap which I stamped up with the hymn "It's Well With My Soul" background stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs.  For my focal point I stamped a sentiment by William Cowper which is part of the stamp set "The Sea". To finish the tag off I added a Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish, a metal sticker saying "Journey", a handmade stick pin, some Wild Orchid Crafts roses, a Prima burlap leaf and some awesome lace from my stash. Oh, and last but not least some seam binding. Lately I love giving away tags, they make nice little gifts, can be hung up or put on an easel for display.

Recipe:

Paper: 4"x6" medium weight chipboard panel, Recollections Kraft, Glitz French Kiss DP, PTI Rustic Cream

Stamps:  ODBD The Sea, It's Well With My Soul

Ink: StazOn Timber Brown, Memento Rich Cocoa, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tea Dye and Vintage Photo

Accessories: Spellbinders Labels 4, Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish, Recollections metal sticker "Journey", handmade stick pin with glass pearls and spacer beads, Wild Orchid Crafts roses, Prima burlap leaf, cream cotton crochet lace, leaf lace, hand dyed seam binding

What do you think? Are you inspired to make a tag?  I would love to know if you like making tags or will give it a try. They are real fun to make.

Hello and good Monday afternoon....

sweet stamping friends! I have a little project to share with you all that I have been working on. For the last few months I have been exploring Pinterest, yeah, I know another website to add to the "be careful it's addicting" list, but I saw a wall hanging that was a simple frame with a handmade white rolled fabric flower in the center and I just could not get it out of my head, LOL!  You all know what I am talking about, right? Well, to make a long story short I dug out a frame that I bought a while back and had not used yet and cut a piece of burlap, some lace and a bloomer flower out and this is what came out

God's Mercy

Recipe:

Paper: white chipboard (Tim Holtz die cut from my friend Kimberly...thanks Kim!!!)

Stamps: ODBD The Sea

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa

Accessories: Lace applique, butterfly pin, Prima burlap leaves, white bloomer flower, handmade flower center created from a piece of wire with 5 glass beads strung on it, wrapped with small pearl trim and finished off with a rhinestone as a center, burlap which is wrapped  around the glass insert of the frame, clear rhinestones, Better Homes and Garden picture frame to fit a 5x7 picture (found it on clearance for $ 2.99 ;D;D)

So, what do you think? Just a little project that can be completed within 30 minutes give or take and a nice gift as well!  Now, who do I give this one to? I just love having small gift in hand, you never know when you need a last minute gift.

That is is for me for today! Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope I was able to inspire you.

Have a blessed day!

My take on the ODBDSLC95

Hello and good Monday afternoon stamping friends!  First let me say, I am sorry I did not have a card on Saturday, but there is a lot going on and I had to take a short break. I decided that I will add my card to participants list instead of the samples by the Team ;D So, here is my version of this weeks Shining the Light Challenge. I cased the super talented and absolutely sweet Grace Nywening. Grace's style always blows me away so I chose this fabulous card right

and here is my version

Recipe:

Paper:   PTI Kraft, Vintage Cream, My Minds Eye Madison Avenue

Stamps: ODBD  It's Well With My Soul

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Walnut Stain, Tattered Rose, Tea Dye

Accessories: Cheery Lynn Designs English Tea Party Doily, Fancyful Flourish, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, lace, KaiserKraft half pearls in Rose

My changes: Different lace and flowers

What do you think?  I hope I did Grace proud, she is such a talented stamper and sweet sister in Christ!

And here is what I came up with for today's Hop.

God moves......

Recipe:

Paper:  PTI Rustic Cream, Aqua Mist, Recollections Kraft, papyrus looking paper, My Minds Eye Breeze

Stamps: The Sea, It's Well With My Soul

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Vintage Photo

Accessories:

Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three, Labels 4,   Aqua Lace, aqua trim, hand dyed seam binding, Recollections Fabric Flowers, cross charm, feet charm (which I cut apart and dyed from a silver finish to a gold finish with Alcohol Ink)

Edited for clarification:  For those that think I tore that hymn out of an old hymnal, I DID NOT! I achieved this look by stamping the new "It's Well With My Soul" hymn unto papyrus looking paper, crumbled it up and distressed it with my Tim Holtz Distressing Tool and Vintage Photo Distressing Ink.  Give it a try it is fun and does look like out of an old hymnal without distroying a book.  :D

I hope I was able to inspire you and hope you will enjoy this hop as much as I did.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I am always happy to read your comments!

Your next stop will be the amazing Sandee  who has come up with a breathtaking creation!

Have a blessed day and remember that there is a nice prize to be won if you complete the Hop and leave each of us some love. Oh, and answer just one little question.

Hugs,
