Hello My Friend

Hello stamping friends. I hope that each and every one of you has a great start to the weekend! I am coming to you with a tag that I have made for one of my friends who recently celebrated her birthday.
As my inspiration I chose a tag I had spotted on Pinterest and the rest is history, LOL!

For the base of my tag I chose medium weight chipboard and attached card stock on the back of it and DCWV Designer Paper the Primrose pad on the front, well, which was all covered up in the process! ;D

I've used the birdcage and bird by Tim Holtz, painted them with shimmer paint and added a piece of white crochet lace to the bottom of the birdcage. Since the bird was eye-less, I gave her a tiny pearl eye and attached her with some foam tape. Around the sides and bottom of the tag I added various pieces of lace I had laying on my desk and then the fun began with LOTS of flowers. I have also used some metal on this all decked out tag in form of a painted key, a butterfly, wire and pearl/crystal sprays and two bling piecesand a filigree piece I painted with Gesso. Some seam binding and a sentiment tag cut with the Antique Labels and Border die by Our Daily Bread Designs. The sentiment is also from Our Daily Bread Designs and is from the Sentiment Collection Two.....love this set! And to finish it off I sprayed the entire tag with homemade shimmer spray. I really wish my camera would pick it up.

And here is my tag

Hello My Friend

Seeing Light with your Heart

Hello stamping friends. Sorry I have been missing, I have had some more health issues. Today I am coming to you with a card I have created using Our Daily Bread Designs brand new Decorative Corners dies from the September release. If you have not checked them out, I encourage you to do so as they are super versatile. For my card I have chosen the smaller one of the two that you will receive in the set and this is what I have come up with

Faith is seeing the Light with your Heart!

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Rustic Cream, Vintage Cream, Recollections light  blue, DP Prima Delight

Stamps: ODBD Quote Collection 3 (March2013 release)

Inks: Steel Blue

Accessories: ODBD Custom Dies Decorative Corners, Spellbinders Labels 22, Decorative Labels 22, May Arts pink sheer ribbon, My Arts cotton crochet lace, Recollections half pearls and rhinestones, assortment of paper flowers, heart embellishment

Size: 5.5" x 5.5"

So for my card I cut the smaller of Decorative Corners dies four times out of  Vintage Cream. Even though my card is 5.5" x 5.5" I did cut the very end of the die cut pieces off to make it more rounded. I then die cut the Decorative Labels 22 out of the light blue card stock, the Labels 22 out of Rustic Cream on which I stamped the quote from the Quote Collection 3 in steel blue. After applying all of my base layers I simply adhered the Decorative Corners pieces with wet glue, having the pointy corner face toward the middle, added the sheer ribbon and lace and then added the light blue layer and sentiment layer and finished it off with a bow, some flowers and pearls and rhinestones.

I hope I was able to inspire you today with my somewhat out of the box design, that corner dies don't always have to be used on corners.

Thanks so very much for stopping by today!

Hugs and blessings,

Apples

Hello and happy Saturday stamping friends! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. It is a cloudy and sort of rainy day here in Southern Arizona and it feels a little like Fall today. So speaking of Fall, I have a very CAS card to share with you that speaks Fall to me. I grew up in Germany and my grandpa had a huge field with all kinds of fruit trees on it and a lot of other veggies and fruits. I grew up when the majority of veggies and fruits where grown in your own garden and to be honest those were the best veggies and fruits ever. Anyhow, on to my card, it is all about them apples. To start out I ran a piece of paper through my Big Shot in a Quickutz Apple embossing folder and a few dies, some gingham ribbon and voila my card was done. Have a look

Apples

Recipe:

Paper: Rustic Cream

Stamps: ODBD Apples

Inks: Memento Rich Coca, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Old Paper, Copics

Accessories: ODBD Custom Dies Elegant Ovals, Recipe Card and Tags, Jute Twine, Gingham ribbon

This is my very CAS card for today! I hope I was able to inspire you. Thanks so very much for stopping by.
I know I have been pretty quiet again, but I have been dealing with lots of migraine headaches and they are not fun. Ask my children, I am not myself when I get them, they will tell you, LOL!

If you could I'd appreciate a prayer or two that the doctor will figure out a medicine that does not make me sick.

Have a blessed and creative weekend!

Hugs,
