Easter Branch...

Hello and good Thursday morning sweet stamping friends! I have a card to share with you today that I have made using the "Happy Spring" stamp set by Our Daily Bread Designs. As some of you know I was born and raised in Germany and we have this tradition of having some Pussy Willow branches in a tall vase that we decorate with either real eggs that have been blown out and decorated, or using pretty decorated paper mache eggs that are hung from those Pussy Willow branches. So when I saw this stamp set I thought of those memories and wanted to see if I could sort of put this idea into a card. Well, since the egg is quite a big larger than what would work for the size of the branch, I decided to try out shrink plastic. It worked pretty well, but I only had clear shrink plastic on hand so my eggs are translucent, but other than that I am very happy, LOL!

Easter  Love

Recipe:

Paper:  PTI Vintage Cream, Harvest Gold, DP BoBunny Country Garden Collection

Stamps: ODBD Happy Spring

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, StazOn Timber Brown, Copics

Accessories: Spellbinders Petite Ovals Large, Labels 17, shrink plastic, ZVA Creative pearl flourish, silk ribbon, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, floss, dimensional snow pen

I know this is a pretty simple card from what I usually do, but I wanted to just focus on the simple beauty of the Pussy Willow branches and those cute little eggs hanging from them.

If you have a minute I'd like to know what you think,

As always, thanks so very much for stopping by. Have a blessed and super creative day!

Hugs,

I know the card is simple for you, but I think it very striking and beautiful. I love the hanging eggs and think that being translucent makes them really work better for this card.

neat tradition, very pretty card, love your eggs! Before our tree died out front we use to hang the plastic eggs from it :)
