SSIC#93

Good Sunday morning stamping friends!  Wow, this week really has flown by. My oldest was in basketball camp and had a blast. It was organized by a local church and they were sure sneaking in some bible teaching and prayer as well....LOVE it!! I am already looking forward to VBS the beginning of July. All right, this week over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ none other than Lisa Hjulberg is the hostess and she has been challenging us to create a Father's Day card or card that honors God. Well, I went with a card to honor God. Not that hard, as I believe any time you use a scripture on your card, you are doing just that. Lisa has chosen this scripture

(Eph 6:2-4 NRSV) "Honor your father and mother"--this is the first commandment with a promise: {3} "so that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth." {4} And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

And here is what I came up with

Anchor

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Kraft, textured card stock from my stash, Basic Grey Lime Rickey, Life of the Party

Stamps: ODBD Anchor

Ink: VersaFne Onyx Black, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Faded Jeans

Accessories: MayArts Twine, Basic Grey buttons, Spellbinders Eyelet Squares, Labels 12

What do you think? I know my cards are always a little more simple than the cards I usually make, but according to my husband, men don't like all of that stuff on their cards. ;D

If you would like to see what my Design Sisters have come up with make sure you'll head on over to

Chris, Grace, Kristine, Linda, Lisa, Marilynn, Miesje, PeggySue and Rebekka have come up with.
