Shining The Light Challenge # 49

Hello my stamping friends!  I hope you all are happy that it is the weekend, I know I am, because we are going up to Scottsdale to see some old friends from Okinawa, Japan. I tell you, I can barely wait to see them after almost 3 years.

Anyhow, you did not come to visit me to hear about my excitement to see old friends, you came to see what I have come up with for this weeks Shining the Light Challenge.

This weeks challenge:
The team challenges you to creating a card or project which includes stamping an image over a sentiment.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, February 17. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by February 17 at 8 p.m. EST.If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC49. When creating your posts on blogs please include a direct link to the challenge.

And here is my card

She is clothed.......

You might think, why in the world did she use a Mother's Day stamp set? Well, to be honest I don't think it is just for Mother;'s Day. We have a church mother, she is in her 90's and sweet as can be and I always tell her, when I grow up I want to be like you Mother. She has so much bible wisdom and had 15 children, goodness, this woman has patience, patience, patience ;D. Anyhow, I wanted to make a special card and I think that this one right here is just right for Mother Bacon.

Have a blessed and very creative weekend my friends!!

Gorgeous card Sabrina! Truly spectacular!

Did you get my email about Stampin Sisters in Christ? I haven't heard from you, so I wonder if it went to SPAM or I sent it to the wrong address.
