It's my turn......

Hello and happy Thursday stamping friends!  Today is my turn to share a special little project with you all that I have created for the "Time with" post over at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog. With Christmas fast approaching I thought it would be fun to share a quick and easy little gift idea. I don't know about you, but every year I seam to need just one more last minute gift that I somehow forgot about or I decide to give to someone unexpectedly. Usually I go to my local grocery store to pick up a gift card, but not this year. I came across this fun little project and decided to give it a try.  It is fairly inexpensive, which is another plus, but it sure does not look inexpensive ;D;D

So, let me share a little sneak peek of my project. For the entire tutorial and description, please visit the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog.

It would be nice if you would let me know what you think about my little tutorial.

Thanks for visiting me and make sure you'll check out the ODBD Blog to see the entire project!

When creating your posts on blogs please include a direct ink to the challenge.

So, for my card, I've played with one of the November releases called "Warm Wishes" and it was tons of fun coloring it. I also used some Ranger Icicle Stickles, and however the light hits it is shimmers all kinds of colors. In my picture it looks like I have used silver and gold stickles, but I did not, it's the Icicle one and IRL it looks all silver-ish ;D;D  For my "baubles, bells, anything hanging" I've used these little jingle bells on the bottom of the sentiment and to top it all off I created "icicles" which hang, right? To achieve that I used a strip of bling mesh (that stuff is awesome) I cut it 30 blings long and 4 blings wide to cover my 5.5"x5.5" card on the top. Before I adhered it I cut two of the blings in every second place to make it look like icicles. What do you think?

Recipe:

Paper: PTI True Black, White, BoBunny Snowfall

Stamps: ODBD Warm Wishes

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, VerfaFine Onyx Black

Accessories: Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares, Fancy Tags Three, Classic Squares Large,Ranger Icicle Stickles, silver jingle bells, silver mesh trim, MayArts silver cording, snowflakes (silver) found in the miniature Christmas tree decorations sections, blue rhinestones, Copic markers C2,C3,T0, W00, Y38, E39, E55, E71, G82, G85, Special Black 110, R24, R29

SNTODBD48...

Hello and happy Thursday my stamping friends. Today I have a special post for you all, I've played along in Betty's Stamping in Time Challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs where the challenge this rotation is

The challenge this rotation is to create Christmas cards, gift packaging, gift ideas or anything festive you can think of to share with a Christmas theme!

So, for my project I came up with a card and ornament. The ornament was a ton of fun creating as I have tried my hands on some pretty cool stuff called Model Magic by Crayola. It is a very soft and lightweight clay. I simply took a chunk out of the package started mushing (is that even a real word? :D:D) rolled it out on my craft mat to about 1/4" thickness and used one of the new Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornament dies as a guide by laying in on top of the clay and using a small kitchen knife to cut around it. After I cut it I smoothed out the edges a bit.  For my image I chose the snowflake tree and flourishes from ODBD's Ornaments 2 which I inked with ODBD's Steel Blue ink (no longer available) but you can use any ink. I only pressed the stamp in a little to so the impression would not be too deep. I let the ink try for a minute and added some glue with my glue pen in the middle of each snowflake and dusted some Glimmer Dust by DecoArt over it. I forgot to mention that the clay is 'air dry" clay and it takes quite a while to dry, but it is so worth it!! ;D I also added the Glimmer Dust to the edge of the entire ornament. To finish it off I added some light blue sheer ribbon and a rhinestone, viola your little ornament gift is ready.  For my card I stayed
along the same lines, but have a look and see for yourself

Peace on Earth

Sorry about the shadow in the picture, but the sun as giving me a hard time ;D

Recipe:

Paper:

PTI White, light blue textured cs, Designer Paper is from my stash (sorry no cover, so I don't know the name of it)

Stamps: ODBD  Ornaments 2

Ink: ODBD Ink Steel Blue (no longer available)

Accessories:

Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornaments, Fancy Tags, light blue sheer ribbon, white lace from my stash, DecoArt Glimmer Dust, light blue rhinestones

So, what do you think? Wouldn't that be a nice Hostess Gift or gift in general for someone special for Christmas?

I hope I was able to inspire you but if you should need just a little more inspiration check out what the other ladies of the Design Team have come up with. This rotation quiet a few of the ladies made samples. Have a look and see what

Hello and happy Thursday stamping friends!  I have a card to share with you all that I've made for this terms Stamping in Time Challenge over at our Daily Bread Designs. This time around Betty has a guest and the the challenge is to use "Your favorite scripture"!  How simple is that? Well, I knew right away that I wanted to use the Scripture Collection 6 stamp set which has a scripture in it that I chose to be made into a stamp. ;D  Yep, the scripture collection stamps are scripture that the ODBD DT members get to choose once a year. So, since my favorite scripture, well, one of them, hehe, is Psalm 116:1 I used it to make this card right here

I love the Lord
