Hello on this sunny Saturday..........

my stamping friends!!! I hope you all had a great week and are ready for a new Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge.  Can you believe that it is almost Christmas? Goodness, I have to admit, that I don't even have my tree up yet :C.  See, I am German and in Germany we never put our tree up until the morning of Christmas Eve. German tradition is that the gift exchange is on Christmas Eve and since we always had a fresh tree, we did that as kind of a family affair. I guess since I live here now I need to get my tree up soon as my girls ask every day, "Mama, when are you going to put the tree up?" All they really want is to see how many packages are going to be under that tree,LOL. The little one loves the lights on, so she is all over plugging the lights in ;D.   All right, you did not come here to hear about all of that, you want to find out what this weeks challenge is going to be. (Sorry, my pictures are kind of all over, but it just dod not work to put them nicely two by two)

This week's Challenge:

Well...Christmas is just around the corner now and we haven't done any inspiration challenges yet so here is a collage of photos to inspire you. We can't wait to see what you create!!

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, December 16,2010. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them. As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by December 16, 2010,  at 8 p.m. EST.

If you do not use ODBD stamps, please do not submit more than one entry. Additional entries are not eligible for prizes or commenting.

If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC41. When creating your posts on blogs please include a direct link to the challenge and a picture of the photo above which inspired you.

Now on to my creation. I chose the last picture on the right. I just fell in love with the warmth of the colors.

This is a gorgeous card! The bow is perfect with the stick pin, and pearls. Great take on the photo you chose. I loved hearing about your Christmas tree traditions. The children always want that tree up, it's so exciting for them. We have ours up, with lights but no decorations yet, ha.

Hi Sabrina. I love the photo inspiration that you chose. They are all pretty but I love the warmer colors too. :) Your card is beautiful. I love the sentiment that you used, the beautiful flowers, pearls bling your perfect bow and of course the colors. Have you ever made a card that is not beautiful? I doubt it. :)

I love coming to your blog and reading what you have to say. I did not know that in Germany people put thier Chrsitmas trees up on Christmas Eve or were given thier gifts to open then too. Growing up we always put our tree up on New Years Eve. Not sure why because My father was Italian and my Mother was Irish. Ha-ha. I love that your little girls are excited about getting the tree up. I miss those years of watching the wonder and excitement of my children during the Christmas season. Thanks for sharing what you did. It made me smile. :)

Hugs,
Mary

Sabrina, your card is just fabulous! I love how you use the pearl flourishes. They are always so perfectly placed to accent the sentiment or imaage and finish everything off.
