Did someone say.......

it's Saturday? Yep, it sure is and this means that it is time for a new Shining the Light Challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs .

This week the team is challenging you to"wing it". Include anything with wings on your creations...this can be birds, angels, butterflies, bugs, etc. It need not be your image...it can be embellishments as well or on your paper.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday,
October 7. One random winner will be chosen and announced on Saturday 9.October 2010, since the Challenge Team is taking a break next week due to "New Release" day on next Saturday!!!!

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by October 7, 2010, at 8 p.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC31. When creating your posts on blogs please include a direct link to the challenge.

Shall we have a look at what I came up with this week? I have to warn you ;D, this is a very CAS card for me, but I thought I challenge myself a bit and go outside my box of lots of embellishments, hehe!!

Are you ready?

Recipe:

Paper:     PTI Vintage Cream, DCWV Mariposa Designer Paper and Mariposa card stock pad

Stamps: ODBD Peace   from the Full of Grace Collection

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black,

Accessories: Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 6, Petite Ovals Large, Recollections half pearls, Filigree gold tone butterfly (purchased at FireMountainGems), May Arts ribbon, foam tape

What do you think?  I think this card would actually fit in a regular envelope ;D.

Are those creative wheels turning yet or would you like some more inspiration?  Check out what

have come up with.

Well, this is it for me for today, we have a big day for the "Women" of our church today. We are having a "Day at the Pool" just for the ladies. Since we are having it at a hotel and not at a local pool we had quite a few ladies sign up. I'll let you all know how this event turned out....I am so looking forward to fellowship with these ladies.

Oh, a quick reminder....remember that this challenge will run for TWO WEEKS!!! More details can be found at the ODBD Blog

Thanks for stopping by today and have a fabulous and creative weekend!!

Hugs and blessings,

Thank you for visiting my blog. I truly appreciate your kind words. I noticed your card on ODBD and was drawn to it because of the way you used DP to be one of the focal points. The way you put the butterfly into your bow is so unique.
