Happy Saturday.......

my stamping friends!!! Are you ready for this weeks Shining the Light Challenge? Oh my goodness, has Chris challenged us this week....we are supposed to uss a stamp more than once on our creation. Yep, ODBD's Shining the Light Challenge # 25 calls for you to stamp off a stamp or parts of a stamp more than once.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize , a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!!

Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, August 18. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.

As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award.

In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by August 18 at 8 p.m. EST.

If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC25. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

Are you ready for me to show you what I came up with? Well, I have actually 2 cards to show you ;D. See when we got our post together we realized that we had all chosen the same stamp set, but one of us, so I decided to make another one with a different stamp set ;D.

So, for my first card I've used the brand new Don't Worry stamp set

Recipe:

Paper: PTI White, Ripe Avocado, Assorted Open Stock CS (bought at Big Lots it is so nice and heavy...just gorgeous and shimmery)

Stamps: ODBD Don't Worry, ODBD The Lord has Risen (scripture)

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMark, SU black detail embossing powder, Twinkling H2O's

Accessories: Petite Ovals Large, Petite Scalloped Ovals Large, May Arts white silk ribbon, handmade stick pin with pink glass bead and silver spacer beads, Recollections large half pearls, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Floral Screen, Foam Tape

This is number one...on to number two. For this second card I've used the awesome stamp set Sing to the Lord.

I will sing of the Lord's........

Recipe:
Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate, Basic Grey Sugared (one of the plain pages to make my own DP)

Stamps: ODBD Sing to the Lord and ODBD Fleur De Lis Borders

Ink: SU Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tea Dye

Accessories: Nesties Labels 3, hand dyed seam binding, antique brass heart charm, hand dyed Dew Drops, hemp cord, Tim Holtz Distressing Tool, Foam Tape

So, what do you think? I had to take a shot of the outside and the inside, so you can see where I've put my main scripture. If I would have added this big panel to the front I would have covered this amazing bird and those gorgeous blooms all up ;D.
