All right, are you ready for my version of this weeks challenge?

Thinking of You

Recipe:
Paper: PTI Dark Chocolate, Rustic Cream, K&Company Ancestry

Stamps: ODBD Scripture Series 1, Thinking of You

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, VersaMark, golden detail embossing powder, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tea Dye

Accessories: Nesties Labels 6, bookmark was cut with my Cricut Expression and my Home Accents cartridge, Prima flowers and mini roses, Zva Creative mini roses in white, Zva Creative small flourishes, Martha Stewart Monarch butterfly punch, Recollections golden half pearls, ivory trim (found it at Tuesday Morning ;D) golden rhinestones by Studio18, golden 1/4" silk ribbon, eyelet, foam tape, 3D foam dots, 2 pearls from my stash to finish off the bookmark

As you can see I cheated a little and made a pocket for my bookmark as well, but I wanted to give this as a gift and thought it would be perfect to have a little pocket to go with it. Actually, that pocket is not little at all...it does measure 5x7" as an A2 card would have been too small. The label for the bookmark was cut at 2 1/4" and 2 1/2" and is quite sturdy as I cut the larger size in cs and in DP and layered the final 2 1/4" piece of cs on top. You can see that the scripture 'just' fits on this 2 1/4" label.

What do you think....does this make a nice little gift?

Now that you have seen my version are you ready to see some more amazing bookmarks?

Come on and see what

Chris

Christine

Fran

Patter

have come up with. If you came from the ODBD Blog you already know that America, Christine and Natalie will leave us at the end of the month. I truly enjoyed working with them and getting to know them a little better through blogland. I wish you all the BEST for the future and I will see you on your blogs as I am a follower/subscriber and will stalk you, hehe!!

All right, before I get all teary eyed, let me just finish my post here ;D.

Remember that this weeks challenge will last for 2 weeks as next week is a holiday and the new release, so the Shining the Light Challenge will take a short break and we will be back the second week of July. I will be checking the ODBD Blog to come and check your bookmarks out and leave you some love. With this said, I thank you for stopping by today!!!

Put your thinking hat on and shower us with bookmarks,LOL!!

Have a fabulously blessed and creative day!!

Hugs,

can you believe it is already Wednesday? WOW...time flies by these days :D. I have a little card for you all that fits perfectly in Joan Fricker's challenge that she has going for the second week now. I read about this one last week, but it slipped my mind and this morning I had an update in my e-mails with a reminder that the challenge was still running until tomorrow morning 6 AM EST...so you know I had to hustle, but here it is a quick one but I did manage to use all of the requirements which are to use at least one Spellbinders Nesties (check) and make it Vintage (check).

You all know that I do Vintage in heartbeat so here it is

The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever!! Isaiah 40:8

Good Tuesday morning.....

my stamping friends!!! Hope you all are having a good week so far. Yesterday I made a card for this weeks Shabby Tea Room Challenge where "Cottage Comfort" is the theme. Have you all checked it out? They are having an inspiration challenge and a fun one for sure! You can find out all of the details here and I have the inspiration picture right here

Doesn't this picture just look awesome? I love those colors and I knew right away that I can count on Basic Grey to help me out making this card ;D. I went through my stash and yes, EUREKA, there it was my trusty "Sugared" pad and wouldn't you believe it...the colors are almost a perfect match!!!!

So, to make a long story short here is my version of this weeks The Shabby Tea Room #15 challenge

When I pray, you answer me!!!!

Recipe:

Paper:PTI Rustic Cream, Dark Chocolate, Basic Grey Sugared

Stamps: ODBD Scripture Collection 2

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Tea Dye, Antique Linen

May Arts Crochet ribbon lace, handmade flower, ZVA Creative mini and med. sized roses, antique brass button, handmade stick pin with glass beads and antique brass stick pin and spacer beads, hand dyed ribbon

So, what do you think?

Doesn't this Basic Grey paper look almost like the bedding in the inspiration picture? I love it when I find the perfect paper...{sigh}.

Those mini flowers were originally white but my handful of Copic markers came in handy as I simply colored the white roses in to look a little more yellowish ;D.

Thanks for stopping by today...I'll have to head on over to the Shabby Tea Room to submit my card and get my girls ready for a little bit of out and about time.

See you all back soon!! Have a fabulous and creative day!!!

Here is the Inspiration picture

Be inspired by the colors, shapes, patterns, or design in the picture! Enjoy and have fun!

Now, are you ready what I came up with? When I first saw this fun bag I thought of some awesome paper I had for quite some time. If you have been a regular on my blog you know that I am addicted, yes, I've said it ;D;D, to paper. I have tons of it and this K&Company pad by Amy Butler came right to mind. I know the colors are not the same, but the flowers and overall design is similar. Are you ready?

Take a look at my little gift set I made, a purse/bag and card

Accessories: Nesties Labels 6, Recollections golden half pearls, Spring Moss grosgrain ribbon, golden med. brads (to secure the ribbon handle on the purse) handmade paper flower, foam tape, 3D foam dots

Well, what do you think? Isn't this a fun little gift set. I am sorry about the picture. I was trying to take a photo inside and it did not look right, so I've tried outside and it looks much better, but the wind was going (;D) and the rocks where not that straight. So, I apologize!! :D:D

Are you ready to see what some of the other sticks have come up with and off course LeAnne?

Hello there.....

and good morning my stamping friends!!! It is Thursday and today there is a new Bible Verse Thursday Challenge over at Christian Paper Crafts Magazine. I had a lot of fun with this weeks challenge. Angella is using "The Word" as theme this week. WOW, I said at first, what am I going to do, but you know it is pretty simple. Any scripture could really be used as it is after all
The Word" of God, but I pulled all of my scripture stamps out and decided to go with John 15:7. This scripture is so powerful and a reminder of the few things we've got to do as Christians. It actually is a promise...a promise of God on how little he requires of us.

John 15:7 reads:

If you remain in Me and my Words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.

This passage is from the NIV (New International Version).

Isn't that just awesome?

All right, let me show you my card ;D

...my words remain in you............

Recipe:

Paper: PTI White, Dark Chocolate, SU Creamy Caramel, Basic Grey Cappella, DCWV Mariposa the cs not the DP

Stamps: ODBD Scripture Collection 4

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, ODBD Olive

Accessories: Nesties Labels 12, Cricut Expression and Accent Essentials and Storybook cartridge, EK Success edger punch crochet lace, 5/8" grosgrain ribbon in Pecan, Recollections golden half pearls, foam tape, 3D foam dots

What do you think? I was trying to focus on the scripture and did not use as many embellishments as I usually do ;D;D, but a scripture this powerful really does not need much...wouldn't you agree?

Well, this is it for me for today....I have to feed my kids and take them out for a bit. Oh...the joys of summer,LOL!!! They are pretty easy girls, yesterday they had fun decorating flip flops and coloring in sun catchers. I tell you, Joann's and Michael's sure help me out a bunch ;D...not so much my pocket book, but I love to see my girls get into the crafting thing and it is all good!!!

Thanks for stopping by and putting a smile on my face!!

Hugs,

Sabrina

This is it for right now...I truly appreciate you stopping by and making my day a happy day.

Hi there on this.......

oh so hot day here in Southern Arizona!! I have been trying hard not to turn the A/C on downstairs on the main floor, but goodness, I think I can't take it anymore...the temperature is about 100 degrees Fahrenheit and my ceiling fans just don't do it for me anymore :D:D.

Anyhow...I know you did not com to visit me to hear about the weather so I will share a few cards with you all that I made last night and this morning ;D.

I really needed some "Therapy Time" and what better to do to create for someone else. My first one is very elegant and yes, has a touch of Vintage to it :D:D.

My Health may fail......

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Vintage Cream, moss colored cs, Basic Grey Cappella

So, what do you think about this first one? I just realized that this card will fit perfectly into the Bible Verse Thursday Challenge # 57 over at Christian Paper Crafts Magazine ;D. Oh, I love when things work out like this,LOL!!! To find out more about this awesome challenge Angie Crockett hosts, head on over to the CPCM website.

On to my next card..this one is very clean and does not have very many embellishments at all!! Do you all ever go to Michael's or Joann's and see all of those awesome things they have in the $ bins? Well, I do all the time and I guarantee that I will not leave either store not buying at least one item (that is if I can contain myself :D:D:D). A little while back I went to Michael's and they some felt coasters in that $ bin...I looked at them and said right away "this would look cool on a card". Well, I bought 3 packages, one in each of the colors they had and did not use them until last night. I pulled out some K&Company DP I found for about $ 2.99 at Tuesday Mornings called Wild Raspberry and some yummolicious silk ribbon and a butterfly I bought in February when the Scrapbook and Stamp Expo was in town and viola a card was born. To give it a little something, something I added some silver half pearls and one of my favorite scriptures on a circle cut with my Nesties Standard Circles large and viola a card was born!!! I love it when something comes together this easy. Have a look for yourself at this super easy card

It is Thursday.......

and time for another Stamping in Time Challenge with Betty. Today marks # 11 and oh my goodness, is it going to be fun. Since some of the Bread Sticks have been playing faithfully, Betty has asked if anyone of us would want to host a challenge and Angie Crockett said "Yes"!!!! Angie has come up with this awesome challenge to "Make a Scene"!!!!

Now, you can use any of ODBD scene stamps or combine other ODBD images and scriptures with designer papers and create your own scene! Important thing is to have fun "making a scene!" We would love to see what scene you create!

I had this awesome idea but had to change it totally as I just could not find my chipboard birds. See when you have two girls ages 5 and 8 y.o. you just can't hide anything. My girls decided to uses my stuff and not theirs, to create and now they can't remember who put what where. So, my plans were changed to something very different and very CAS. Yep, I've said it very Clean And Simple......emphasis on simple ;D;D.

I believe this is one of the first stamps that Kelley came out with...the box says 2008, so I am using just the right stamps as we are supposed to use the more seasoned stamps for this challenge anyhow, hehe!!!

Are you ready....here is my

I am the Good Shepherd;

Recipe:

Paper:PTI Rustic Cream, Dark Chocolate, Memory Box Frond

Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Vintage Photo and Shabby Shutters

Accessories: Ginger Dew Drops, foam tape, Tim Holtz Distressing Tool

See, I told you, it was CAS!! :D:D:D

But I think that this awesome stamp set does not need much more.

What do you think?

Well, if you want to see more totally awesome scene cards head on over to

Happy Hump Day.......

my stamping friends!!! Goodness, this week is all messed up with Monday's holiday...it's like a day is missing somewhere :D:D. Anyhow....I have a card to share with you all today I made for this weeks Shabby Tea Room Challenge # 12. This weeks challenge theme is "Dear to my HEART", so for my card I chose a stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs called "Love one Another" and some totally yummy paper from Basic Grey called Eva. I know it is retired as far as I know, but I bought several pads before it retired ;D;D. The birds on this paper look like love doves to me and so I chose it and took the double heart stamp from the "Love one Another" stamp set and stamped it on it with VersaMark ink and added pink crystal embossing powder to make those hearts just pop a little but it was too bright for my taste so I took some Tim Holtz Distressing Ink in Aged Mahogany and rubbed it over the hearts and the edges which I had distressed with the Tim Holtz Distressing Tool to tone it down just a little and give it a tat bit more flow. To add a little shabby chick I attached some May Arts pink crochet lace ribbon and some pink trim from my stash and framed the sentiment, which is also from the "Love one Another" stamp set with some flowers, but have a look for yourself

1 Peter 1:22.......Love one another deeply from the Heart.

Recipe:
Paper: PTI white, burgundy cs from my stash, SU Pink Pirouette, Basic Grey Eva

Stamps: Love one Another

Ink: VersaMark, pink crystal embossing powder, Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Aged Mahogany

Accessories: Nesties Labels 6, May Arts pink crochet lace ribbon, pink trim (from my stash) pewter double heart charm, Prima Hydrangeas of different shades of pink, mini roses by Prima and All Natural Accents, Tim Holtz Distressing Tool, Raspberry Dew Drops

What do you think...does it qualify for this fun challenge?

Well, this is it for right now. Thanks so much for stopping by today and making my day a happy day!
