Are you ready......

for Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge 12?

This week the challenge team is challenging you to create a Graduation Card or gift.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, May 13. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.

As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by May 13 at 8 p.m. EST.

If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC12. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge so we know which creation on your blog is meant for the Shining the Light Challenge.

For my sample today I chose to make a masculine card. My pastor's son is graduating from High School and I have known him for 10 years...oh my goodness...thinking back when I first met Jonathan he was 8, the same age as my oldest daughter Naomi. He is such a talented and well mannered young man. He plays the drums at church and is always helping everybody. We plan on attending his graduation which takes place at his schools stadium. Well, got kind of side tracked here, telling all of this ;D, sorry, but I was thinking of him right away when Chris gave us this challenge :D. So, with no further delay here is my take on this weeks challenge

I know the plans I have for you.......

Recipe:
Paper:PTi Rustic Cream, K&Company Designer Mat Pad Earthtones solid

Stamps: ODBD For the Graduate

Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMagic Chalk Ink Sage

Accessories: silver hardware buckle , silver med. brads, Nesties Classic Rectangles Large, Cuttlebug embossing folder Diamond Plate, black satin ribbon

What do you think? If I put a Visa gift card in it I am sure this 18 y.o. will
flip out ;D.
I hope that this masculine card is stirring the creative juices in you and if you need some more inspiration the rest of the challenge team has some awesome samples as well.

Sabrina what a thoughtful card (and gift wink!) for your Pastor's son! Love the masculine touches to it. And the promise for Him from the Word is truly something powerful to hold on to for a grad!
