Hello on this sunny Wednesday afternoon....

my wonderful blogging friends. I have a card for you all that I made for the Mojo Monday #120 challenge. Goodness, I am so far behind with everything, but I promised myself that I will try harder this year to at least participate in some challenges. For this card I used one of the new releases from Our Daily Bread Designs which is called Confirmation. If you have a look at the set itself you will find that you can use it for many more occasions than just Confirmation. See I am German and in Germany, if you are Protestant you go through Confirmation. It was pretty cool as you have to go through 2 years of studying once a week (that's how it was for us where I grew up ;D) so when you graduated from Confirmation class you had a test in front of the entire church and a side effect of it was that you where showered with gifts. :D:D that was the cool part about for me, hehe!!! So,.in Germany we need this stamp set badly :D, but even here I understand some religions have a Confirmation. We are Pentecostal and go to a Church of God in Christ, so we don't have it. But back to my card........I followed this sketch and I used one of my all time favorite Basic Grey paper pads called "Porcelain" Most of the papers are really feminine and go so well together.

Have a look

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Rustic Cream, Basic Grey Porcelain, SU Apricot Appeal

Ink: Palette ink Moulin Rouge, Chalk Ink Bisque

Stamp: Confirmation from ODBD, Romans 5:5

Accessories: Nesties Classic Scallop Circles Large, Prima flower, golden bead end caps, red seed beads, natural colored crochet lace from WalMart, apricot colored satin ribbon (my Mom sent it to me from Germany :D), foam tape and 3D foam dots

Beautiful card! The colors are so pretty. Growing up Lutheran, I had the same confirmation experience as you did. My daughter has chosen to be confirmed a Presbyterian, which will happen this year. Not nearly as intense as our experience! Hugs-Lori

Such a pretty card, Sabrina! For Catholics, Confirmation is a sacrament you make around 8th-9th grade!!

Hello Sabrina. I *love* the card thatyou made it is absolutely gorgeous. I love that you used ribbon and lace together. It is lovely. I was confirmed when I was 12 years old. There was quite a bit of studying to do in order to be confirmed. I remember it well. :)

I hope that you are having a very nice week so far. Keep making your beautiful cards so I can continue to be inspired.
