Good Sunday afternoon...

to all of my blogging friends out there. I just have a quick post for you all today to let you all know that from now on all comments have to be approved before they are posted!!! I am very sorry I have to take this step, but someone has been posting unappropriate comments with links to very nasty websites (to say the least!!!)

So, please understand that I had to take this measure to make sure that non of this unclean stuff gets posted here. After all, I am posting paper crafting projects and ideas and not that stuff.

Thanks for understanding.

Merry Christmas.........

to all of you my faithful friends!!!

It has been crazy busy around here and I really don't have a card to share with you, but I do have some news.....BIG NEWS, to share with you all. The wonderful Kelley Holland from Our Daily Bread Designs has asked me to be a Guest Bread Stick for the month of January and I said YES!!!!! I tell ya, this has been so hard to keep to myself... most of you know that I have this great love for scripture stamps....they are my way of spreading the word of God and encouraging people that are in my life. So, to make a long story short starting 1. January 2010, this is only a few days away ;D, you will be seeing a few projects that are made with the January releases, which by the way, will blow off your socks, hehe!!!

Tomorrow is the day Jesus was born and I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas.

May you all be wonderfully blessed and celebrate the real reason for the season.

I will be back soon.

Good Tuesday morning.....

and it is a rainy one here in Southern Arizona. Today I finally have the little project I have been promising you. It was a quick and easy way of wrapping up a crystal ornament I got for my neighbor who invited me to a wonderful Christmas Tea that the women of her church hosted. We had a good time fellow shipping and a real good inspirational message where they focused on my all time favorite scripture Proverbs 3:5-7 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart......." You know a lot of times we just TRUST God in some areas and not with ALL of our heart...but if we just take that next step and give it ALL to HIM things would be much easier. God does not tell us that there will be no more bumps in the road, but things are much easier if you just trust. Sorry....got a little sidetracked here :D.

Here is the little wrap/bag I made.

As you can see it is pretty basic, but using some Christmas DP and some colored flower confetti from Michael's bridal section it makes a pretty good presentation for a crystal ornament. I started out with a piece of DP paper 3"x12". I scored it at 5" and 7". On one of the 5" sides I simply used an oval Nesties die to cut the opening. I also cut another oval, one die bigger for my sentiment, which is from a fabulous set called Christmas Scriptures # 5922 from Clear Dollar Stamps (which I won last month when they had their Birthday Celebration ;D) and one oval for the "Merry Christmas" , which is also from this stamp set. As mentioned the flowers are flower confetti from Michael's bridal section and you get a ton of flowers. For my project I simply colored them with a Copic marker (I believe it is the R57) layered 2 of them together and glued them with a small glue dot. The center is a half pearl from Recollections. The flourish is one from MayaRoad which I sprayed with Avocado green MayaMist (this time I did use a small box and put the flourishes in so I would not have the MayaMist all over the place again, LOL). The angel ornament is attached with a staple at the top of the wrap. To finish if off I made a border using the Martha Stewart lace border punch on a piece of moss colored cs on both sides and attached it to the top of the wrap after I threaded some golden narrow ribbon through 2 wholes that I punched at the top, wrapped the border around and secured it with a piece of double-sided tape. I attached the "Merry Christmas" and the other little Poinsettia (I made) and voila, you'll have a nice little gift. The inside scripture was stamped in VersaMark and embossed with gold embossing powder and the "Merry Christmas" was stamped in Palette ink Moulin Rouge.

Well, that is it. I have been working a few more things and I will post those a little later, after my camera is charged.

Thanks so much for stopping by....it really means a lot to me.

Happy Sunday....

friends!!! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I have a card to share with you today...yep, I made another Christmas card, ;D. When I first started stamping I bought a stamp from The Angel Company and it is called "Faith, Hope, Love" I think it retired by now, but hey, I can still use it right?

Have a look at my card

Faith, Hope Love

Recipe:
Paper: PTI Scarlet Jewel, Mossgreen (I believe it is the recycled one from http://www.limelightcrafts.com/) , PTI Rustic Cream, Basic Grey Wassail (love this paper!!!)

Stamps: TAC Faith, Hope, Love

Ink: SU Mellow Moss, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Aged Mahogany

Accessories: Nesties Labels 1, Bridal Flower Confetti from Michael's, Stickles, lace from Joanne's, Martha Stewart Lace edger punch, MayaRoad flourish which I sprayed with MayaMist Avocado, Foam tape

What do you think?

Oh, before I forget, I would like to say "Thank You" to all of you that sent well wishes to my little pumpkin. I took her to the Urgent Care Center and they did confirm that my baby has Strep Throat. Not what I wanted to hear, but they gave me some antibiotics for her so I hope she will be back to her old self soon. See, as a child, I had Strep Throat a lot and I almost died from it, well, not from the Strep Throat but from having my tonsils removed when I was only 6. So I am not happy that my baby is getting that same stuff that all the way back when, almost took me out of this world. When I called my Mom she immediately said "oh my gosh, don't tell me TT (that is what we call Thalia for short) comes after you!?" Well, I believe that GOD will take care of it and I pray that if she has to have her tonsils removed, "IF" I said, I pray that she will have a doctor that cares and not a butcher like me. All right, this is it for me. I have to edit a picture I took of a fun little gift idea I made on Friday, so I will be showing it just as soon as I get it edited.

Thanks so much for stopping by. You ladies mean a lot to me!!!
