Goodness, where has time gone???

Hello my friends, I know it has been a while since I last posted, but it seems like something comes up all the time and there are just not enough hours in a day to do it all. I have quite a few things for you all today :D:D:D. Yep, a few things ;D.

The first one I would like to share with you is a card that I made with some yummy crocheted lace I bought a while back over at Stampers Dream. I believe it is May Arts and it comes in like 3 different colors. The one used here is like a chocolate brown. I also used my all time favorite stamps set Baroque Motifs. I know it has been around for a while but i just love the flourish and it goes well with some of the cards I make ;D. The card was actually made with a person in mind at my church, she is still going through and having a really ruff time, so I decided to make a card that would remind her that she is not alone even if it feels that way at times. For those that come on regular basis you have noticed that I have been making a lot of 5.5"x5.5" cards lately. There is no particular reason, it is just that I can add more embellishments and don't have to cut up some of the gorgeous DP's I have. Most of them are 6"x6" and I hate to have lots and lots of scraps laying around ;P;P. Are you ready for it?

I can do all things........

Recipe:
Paper: SU Confetti White, SU Close To Cocoa,
SU Chocolate Chip, K&Company Ancestry
Stamps: Verve I can do all things.... Philippians 4:13
SU Baroque Motifs Ink: Chalk Box Creamy Brown, Chestnut Roan
Accessories: brown crocheted lace, Nesties Labels 1, dimensionals, Kaiser brown half pearls, brown satin ribbon, handmade stick pin with shades of brown glass beads, Brown Prima's Daisy Dream Collection

That is it, the first of my creations.

For the second one I just had to do a little something different. Well, it has a Vintage feel to it, but I made a different fold for a change. I believe I saw it on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog the other day, they were to use their favorite embossing folder and make a gate-fold card. I did not use an embossing folder, but I did do the gate-fold card.

Since I have a Scor-Pal it was easy as pie since Diana Crick already thought about the gate-fold and added the right marks if you make a card to be an A2 size card. I think the reason why I don't do this fold that often is because I don't like it too much when the card just opens up when you don't want it to open up. Does that make sense? You know when you get a gate-fold card and it comes open on its own? So, I started thinking what I could do for my card to stay put. To make a long story short, I turned to my Cricut Expression and cut a few flourishes out. While I was doing that I thought, hmmmm, wouldn't that that Octagon shape from Spellbinders look good on that yummy paper that is in the Lilikate pad from Basic Grey? You know how that goes, right? You think of something and it just explodes in your head but in a good way:D:D.

Have a look and see for yourself what I am talking about. It just all came together in a romantic, playful way. And you know what I just realized? I used the same scripture twice, but this one is from the SU set Elegant Inspirations.

Recipe:
Paper: PTI white, Basic Grey Lilikate

Stamp: SU Elegant Inspirations

Ink: Palette Ink Toile Pink, Tim Holtz Distress ink Tattered Rose,
Antique Linen

Accessories: Nesties Large Octagons, Prima Hydrangeas from Beach Sand Collection, Martha Stewart 3 butterflies punch, pink flat crystals, half pearls from Kaiser, cream satin ribbon, cream decorative trim, sheer off white ribbon, dimensionals, foam tape, double sided tape

The flourish that is on the right side of the octagon is actually holding the card closed.

All right, last but not least is a little box that I made with instructions from the Scor-Pal website. The instructions are really easy and it took only a few seconds to actually score my cut pieces.

Here is my

A little Something for you.........

box

Recipe:
Paper: K&Company Amy Butler DP, Bazzill textured cs

Stamp: SU Yummy stamp set

Ink: SU Mellow Moss, VersaMagic Sage Chalk Ink

Accessories: crystal drops, Dew Drops from the Sunflower Mix, small silver half pearls, Prima Hydrangeas, beige trim from my stash, 1 3/8" EK Success circle punch, Martha Stewart 3 butterflies punch, decorative scissors, dimensionals, double sided tape, Tombo glue

This little box is 4"x4" and 1.5" heigh or deep. It would be perfect for small cards but I am actually using it for a little gift I am going to give to my neighbor ;P. The second picture I took of the box is taken inside that is why it looks a little different but I assure you it is the same box, just couldn't get a good picture taken outside of the side view.

Wow, I am done!!!! See I have not been just sitting around not doing anything, just wish I could stay up past 9 PM I would be all right. I am not kidding you, come 9 PM I am fighting to keep my eyes open. Yep, 5:30 AM comes quick but I am actually awake an hour earlier than that when my hubby has to get up as he hits that snooze button several times ;P.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'd love to hear what you think about my humble creations.

Hugs,
