Hey there.....

how are you all doing on this very hot day here in southern AZ? Today I have 2 things I want to share with you all. Last week, well, Friday I made a few cards and was planning on uploading them on Saturday, but our neighbor kind of threw a rock our way and we ended up spending all afternoon hauling rocks and trying to get some sort of path for the coming monsoon done. My neighbor actually did not throw the rock literally, he is in the process of fixing up his backyard and he had tons of big rocks which he was going to just haul away so I told my DH, go and ask what he is going to do with them and if he is just getting rid of them, ask if we could have some to get our front yard taken care off. See for those of you that know about the monsoon season and that those waters come out of nowhere and just wash anything in their way away you need to be prepared and take care of your property. Well, we live on a pretty steep hill and last year when we were just looking at the house it was raining so hard one day, the entire one side of the front yard was washed down the street. I mean those little landscaping rocks were all over the sidewalk and in the street. To make a long story short, we had to do something and since my DH, bless his heart, is kind of a procrastinator :D:D, we had not done that yet, so Saturday that was changed. We got some rock from our neighbor and got started and today I finished it.

Needless to say I am aching everywhere :D:D:D, plus temps in the 100's don't really help. At one point I thought I was going to pass out.

All right now, since I've got that off of my chest, how about I show you those cards. The first one is a very simple card that I have had in my head for quite some time. I don't know about you all, but Kraft and white just looks good together and paired with a silhouette stamp it is just gorgeous, well, at least I think so ;P.

HELLO

Recipe:

Paper: PTI Kraft, PTI white

Stamp: ISC Natures Silhouettes II

Ink: StazOn Cotton White, Chalk Box creamy brown

Accessories: SU oval punch, foam tape, double sided tape

My second card is a little more elegant but yet simple.

I think I was one of the LAST people that bought SU's Parisian Breeze DP. I had admired gorgeous creations done with it all over the place and just never gotten it until the retiring list came out, so I finally have the paper and can't get enough of it :D:D.

I have to admit though that I did not get the Baja Breeze paper that matches this wonderful paper, but the Soft Sky cs works, at least IMHO :D.

The label I've put on this card was done with my Nesties Labels 4, which I absolutely love for anything Vintage looking, plus I used the last of these fun little Prima roses from the Fairy Tale Collection.

The scripture is from last months release over at ISC and I am totally in love with it. The little cross I've used on it is from an necklace I bought several years ago on clearance for like 50 cents or so.

Look to the Lord.....

Recipe:

Paper: SU Parisian Breeze DP, SU Soft Sky, PTI white

Stamps: ISC Thoughtful Verses

Ink: VersaFine OnyxBlack

Accessories: Nesties Labels 4, silver half pearls from Mike's, mini roses from Prima's Fairy Tale Collection, light blue sheer ribbon, narrow white satin ribbon, silver cross pendant, dimensionals, foam tape, double sided tape

All right, that is it for today. My DH came home early, so I'll have to run and get dinner going. Thanks so much for stopping by today, it means a lot to me that you guys are taking the time to come see what I am up to.

Hugs,
