A big Hello and some exciting news....

yes, I have some exciting news :D:D:D:D!!!! A while back Sharon Johnson, you all know her, right? Yes, the queen of simple stamping asked me if I wanted to be part of her Stamp Simple team for the month of June, and guess what!? I said YES!!!!!! I have been a huge fan of Sharon for quite some time and I have always admired her simple, but very elegant cards and other creations. Sharon and I kind of became e-mailing buddies and one day she asked me how I would feel to join her and those other wonderful and oh so talented ladies on her team. I know it is only for 1 month, but you all don't know how special that makes me feel. I will try my best, yes, my very BEST to do her proud. Today, Sharon has the most funniest title for her challenge
"GONE TO POT" You all have to head on over to her blog at NOTIMETOSTAMP and read what brought this title on ;D. I was thinking and thinking and had something very special planned, but you know what they say, go with something easy and don't try to over do it? Well, yours truly tried just that, go over the top and I got my booty whopped, so to speak. It just did not work for me at all, so I finally made one of these super easy flower pot cards everybody made a little while back and I must say, I am feeling much better about this one ;D. To make it a little more interesting I ran my flower pot cs through my Cuttlebug using the divine swirls folder and my EK Success border punch to pep it up a bit. For my flowers I could have just used Primas, but I wanted to use these clever little flowers that have three layers and are simply held together with a brad. To get those flowers all I did was use my SU scallop circle punch and cut the petals every second scallop (it will look almost like a heart) painted them with some really cool stuff called Schimmerz Blingz (Pink Poinsettia in color) and that is it. To add a little more pep, I free handed some leaves and ram them through my crimper to make it look like a real leaf and voila you are done. To make the flower pot a little more personal I added the words "Just For You" and a frame I cut with my Cricut Expression and the Storybook cartridge. The little tab which has 3 of the 4 flowers on it has a little poem on it which I chose from the SU retired set Sidekick Sayings. I thought it was really fitting for this kind of card as it reads

"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy - they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom". - Marsel Proust-

So here is my card, have a look at my interpretation for this challenge

Just For You.....

Recipe:

Paper: Su Creamy Caramel, SU Chocolate Chip

Ink: Chalk Box Chestnut Roan

Stamps: ISC Summer Elements III (For the words "Just For You")
SU SideKick Sayings

Accessories: Cuttlebug embossing folder divine swirls, crimper, SU scallop circle punch, antique copper decorative brads, K&Company 3D Butterfly from the Wild Saffron collection, Cricut Expression and the Storybook and Home Accents cartridges, Schimmerz Blingz Pink Poinsettia, glue dots, a scrap piece of sheer pink ribbon for the tab.

The inside is very simple, just the tag, which I distressed a little by sponging the edges.

Inside Tab...

So, what do you think, did I get this one right?

I would like to say another "THANK YOU" to Sharon Johnson and the entire Stamp Simply Team for letting me be part of this group for the month of June. It is truly an honor to be stamping with you talented ladies.

I have another one, yes, I know, here is a little flower pot I just found in my stash of stuff that was in storage for 4 years ;D. I remembered as I was cleaning up my stamp room, that I had bought all kinds of flower pots about 5 years ago when I was into making flower arrangements. So I went on a hunt to find those little pots. Guess what, I was successful and found 3 of them, so I decided to paint one and give it some purpose :D:D. I got some of this absolutely stunning striped ribbon from Sharon's ribbon store and I yet had to use it. For all of you that don't know me that well yet, I am a hoarder when it comes to ribbon. I have tons of it and have some special ribbon that I have had for quite some time, but will not use, you all know that feeling, right?

For some reason I was in a green mood this afternoon and chose the SU Certainly Celery cs and what better ribbon to use than Sharon's celery striped ribbon? This little pot came together in a flash as only the tag is stamped. For the tag I used my Cricut Expression and once again the Storybook cartridge to get the tag. To attach the tag I punched two small holes into it and threaded the ribbon through and tied it in a bow on the side. After that I adhered some shades of green Primas to the other side and added a Dew Drop to the center. The treat that is in the little cello bag are Hershey Kisses which I tied up once again with the celery striped ribbon, but I used the wider one here. Easy as can be!!! This is it now, really ;D.

Recipe:
Paper: Su Certainly Celery
Ink: SU Certainly Celery
Stamp: SU
Accessories: Cricut Expression and the Storybook cartridge
Primas in shades of green, pearl Dew Drops, triped ribbon from Sharon's ribbon store, cello bag, Hershey Kisses

Thank you to you my friends for stopping by and I will see you later !!!
